Surprisingly low scores in what seemed to me a fairly predictable set of results
. The gamball yielded 4 positive scores and all of them were maximums (pity 2 of the players chose not to play it!) and only 1 player managed to get his (or her - or their) right. Nobody scored on Walsall's result though it seems that we finally understand how woeful Albion have been for most of the season!
Top by some distance this week is Silver. 3 out of his 4 correct results were spot on, including the gamball to break his recent poor run and possibly bring him back into contention for a European place (if they existed). Sanjay was the only other player to reach double figures though he will be regretting his decision not to play the gamball costing him 6 points.
SCO only got 2 results right but somehow manages 3rd place thanks to one of those results being a spot-on gamball. BBB takes 4th but withh just 6 points this won't do much to ease his relegation play-off fears. Derby was the other player to regret not using the gamball as he continues to limp towards the title. BaggieOne got the week's high of 5 correct results but his failure to tun any of them into correct scores plus failures on the gamball and bonus cost him precious points.
Snooty was the only player to gain from his bonus but only scored on one other game but at least he stayed away from the foot of the table thanks to his scoreball point keeping him ahead of Minizin. While Minizin was enjoying a sunny weekend break his form dipped to leave him with just 2 points and last place.

Well, the title may not be wrapped up after all. Sanjay has been slowly grinding away at Derby's lead and now sits just 13 points behind - a couple of good weeks and who knows? Behind them the logjam continues, Silver climbing 2 places ahead of Minizin and Snooty but just 11 points separates 3rd from 6th so expect more shuffling until the end of the season. BBB could yet drag one of those above him into the relegation scrap but will need to find the form that has eluded him for the last couple of months.

Well after last weeks trials and tribulations of the tough Gamball, this week did at least see one person gain points from it. Coincidentally the one beneficiary on the Gamball this week in the Championship was Zinman himself!!
So leading by a country mile in the table this week is Zinman with a seasons best for him of 22 points. A spot on Gamball as well as scoring on both the other balls certainly helps boost the score and hitting a score like this as close to the end of the season can be decisive!! Amelia is in 2nd spot with 11 points and is the only other person to get into double figures. Third place is Stairs with 6 points, he got a week high 2 CSs but wasn't able to back that up with anything else.
Salop comes in 4th with 5 points, way behind Zin so the table might not look as good for him after this result. Three players were joint 5th with 3 points each - Blue, Dingle and Themaclad, not a single positive score on the Gamball or Bonus between them!! Lady Jane's woes continue, this week she gained just a single point and Twerton had the proverbial nightmare finishing on -1 point!!
319 - Blue Baggie
309 - Stairs
279 - Zinman
262 - Salop
250 - Themaclad
247 - Dingle
230 - Twerton
226 - Amelia
218 - Lady Jane
Stairs closed the gap on Blue at the top, these two still look like they will take the automatic spots. Zinman's excellent week coupled with most others struggling means that he has now opened up a 17 point gap on Salop, could this week be the decider for the play off spot in the end? Themaclad has steadied the ship but still distinctly mid-table (a bit like PNE in the real world) and Dingle is in no-mans land just behind him. Twerton's loss of form now sees Amelia chasing him down (
) and this has left LJ stuck on the bottom with a bit of a gap now developing.
Still a few weeks to go but the beach seems to be beckoning for a lot of players!!
Cheers
