Deadline, deduction and departure, another day in the National League.

The player registration deadline that was due to fall tomorrow has been extended to April 22nd, so expect some new players for Saturday ....?????

Neal Ardley got the sack at Notts County. They look certs for the play-offs. Will a new manager help the current players, and do they want to bring in a big signing to compete with Stockport, but weren't sure they could trust their manager? Seems a strange move, but if it takes them back to the EFL things will look very different.

As to Dover, when's that happen, and what happens if the change to points gained alters the finishing places of those in the play-offs AND Dover take legal action? Can the play-offs go ahead under these circumstances? And if they do, how will those who lose out react?

Notts County fans are hoping they will poach James Rowe and a few of the players as well.

Maybe they will, but tying up the players on longer contracts hardly seems the right first step to getting them free to follow him.

Didn't they sack Ardley before the signing deadline was extended. Are you saying they had knowledge of a decision yet to be made. How could that be true ???????? Everyone in football is so honourable.

Surely Notts County must have had a target in mind before they sacked Ardley. Are you suggesting an illegal approach might have been made?

And it turns out they did already have a replacement. Ian Burchnall, who followed Potter at Ostersund. Sounds more like a long-term appointment than promotion at all costs this season. And it sounds a good, if morally bankrupt appointment, though County's previous Scandinavian connection didn't turn out so well .....
