Here we are 1 year on, this weekend marks the anniversary of no fans in the ground, personal view without fans the game is just a pale shadow of what it used to be.
This is also Bournemouth's first league visit since 16/2/2013 a match whic North End won 2-0 the thing that was special about this game was it was the first one after medal winner was potted, the atmosphere on the ground that day was up there with the best ever experienced, at the time the Cherries were wending their way up the league but that day were no match for John Dreyer's whites.
Thwe first time they played at Deepdale was also memorable they lost 5-2 Charlton scored two and Bournemouth had two sent off.
LAST TIME OUT
BRISTOL CITY 1 AFC BOURNEMOUTH 2
Having potted Tindall the Cherries turned to Woodgate to hopefully steer them up into the top league presently in the last play off position they will present a tough proportion for our highly inconsistent side
They played a 433 system at Ashton Gate with our ex Ben Pearson in the midfield three. They had a fairly strong bench as well on Wednesday night able to bring on the likes of Billing.
The front three have scored nearly 30 goals between them, they can get a bit excitable, Lerma spent the entire afternoon against Watford winding up the opposition worked a treat.
Would have been interesting if fans had been in to see what reaction Ben would get after his non too complementary remarks about our old training ground
As for us still need a seven points at minimum to ensure safety the pressure still on Neil at the moment as some of the recent performance have been a little lacklustre but one thing that does mystify me is teh lack f substitutes can use five we used three on Tuesday with one coming on with a minute to go utterly pointless, some managers have been more savvy on this score can remember the Luton game after project restart Jones brought on three at the same time and it paid off seems at time the boss has little trust in some of those on teh bench, odd really
