Todays see's the passing of Jack Charlton.
A great player, great manager, great pundit, great fisherman, but most of all one of
the great CHARACTERS within the game.
RIP Jack and thanks for all the wonderful memories you leave us with.

RIP Big Jack
Legend at Sheffield Wednesday, he was the manager that got us out of the doldrums of Division 3, gave us the famous 4-0 Boxing Day win over Sheffield United in front of a record 49,000 at Hillsborough in 1979 and got us promoted on our journey back to Division 1.

Will always remember him standing his ground to the pack of knuckle-draggers who invaded the pitch in Dublin in '95 and started chanting "traitor" at him. Quite simply, he knew more about loving and serving his country than the lot of them put together. RIP Sir Jack.

Just a great character. Made the most of his ability as a footballer - wouldn't have got a game these days, probably not even a contract! - but t'was a different sort of game then.
Really came into his own as a manager and pundit, when his honesty and humour just shone through. Always had the courage to speak the truth which is a rare gift.
Fantastic man.
RIP Jack
