Meanwhile, back to the cricket . . . . . .  . .

I'm not sure who provides the wet sales at Headingley, normally something like this gets gets farmed out to a company like Sodexo who pay a lump sum for the rights. I know it takes any liabilities away from the club but surely the club are capable of working out the numbers and weighing up profit against any potential loss over season to take this operation in house.

As for the cricket, Northern Superchargers Women are going along nicely, unbeaten in 3 with a further non result. Jemimah Rodrigues top scoring with 166 from 92 balls including a cracking 92 not out. I've been impressed with standard of the Women's game.

Tom Harrison to step down as ECB chief executive, effective next month. As the Hundred was his brainchild (or brainfart, as the case may be), this finally provides an opportunity for the competition to be properly debated and reconsidered with grassroots input from fans. Obviously it's with us at least until the TV deal expires in 2024, but there's fresh hope now that in the long term we may be able to restore the Championship to the heart of summer, market televised county-based T20 (with an eight-team "Premier League" if need be) to Hundred converts, and toss this mistake where it belongs, alongside World Series Cricket.

Anyone been watching the Hundred so far? I watched the first match the other day between Oval Invincibles and London Spirit. London Spirit were very poor. One thing has got better on the coverage and that is the graphics displaying the score.

Never watched it, to be honest rarely watch 20/20 these days tends to be if Lancs are on. Just finished an epic test series were they have crammed 5 Tests into 8 weeks for the month of August to basically be a cricketing void

I've watched the Hundred on and off since it started, it's alright as it's just a bit of fun. I watch 20/20 every year on YouTube but had to stop watching Derbyshire playing 20/20 this season as it was painful. I watch some of the One Day's online as well.

I had to watch highlights of the Test series on BBC as I don't have Sky. I used to like it when it was on C4 in the summer watching England play India or the West Indies or the Ashes.

One thing I don't agree with is the Cricket season starting in April and finishing in late September. It should be May to early or middle of September but because of the Hundred they've had to change the schedule, even the T20 blast seems to be rushed by playing all the matches very quickly but then the 4 teams which make finals day have to wait till September to play the conclusion of the tournament.

Also talking about reducing CC to 12 games, agree playing cricket in the week before October is a nonsense

They've talked about that before. Wouldn't surprise me if they decide to take professional status away from certain counties, so they'll end up playing Minor league cricket like Cheshire, Cornwall etc.

In time all the ECB want is the Franchise sides playing the game, they have zero interest in the smaller clubs, they are only interested in money. The Hundread will turn into a T20 competition and they will get rid of the Blast also if they get their was on the reduction of 4 days games, pound to a penny the Hundread will last a couple of weeks longer.

In regards to the reduction, all counties are having a vote, although Yorkshire chairman Colin Graves was captured on video stating that there was no f**king way they were voting, but they did.
Meanwhile the sh*tes who run Lancashire put out the options for the future forgetting on purpose to put the one with no change in the County Championship. Members have called a Special General meeting, sadly we can't get rid of them, because Lancs board are a bunch of .....
