Chesterfield have signed midfielder Ellis Chapman, 18, on loan from League Two leaders Lincoln until the end of the season.
John Sheridan describes Chapman as "a very good young player". The Spireite's boss adds: "He'll add good balance to the squad. He's capable of playing at left-back as well as on the left-hand side of midfield."
The 18-year-old returned to Lincoln in 2017 after being signed by Leicester City the previous year. He has made a total of eight first-team appearances, including six this season.
He's got his own dinky little beard, looks inoffensive and at long-range appears to be a Gary-Caldwell solution to a different problem from those about to relegate us into absolute obscurity.
Waving and Drowning.

Left footer, another thing I don't believe in for a left back. The road to goal is on the left back's right side ....... so that's where he needs his strongest foot .......... just as if you're coming in from the right having a left foot to curl the ball round and beyond the keeper's reach and inside his far post is unstoppable (however well he narrows the angle, even if he's Dulwich Hamlet's new 6 10" keeper).

Where do you stand on a left footed Centre-back?

If you give his instep a good hefty stamp it should take him out of the game.

Centre backs left footer to the right, right to the left. The goal is always inside you unless you are the keeper standing exactly in the centre of the goal ....... so your inside foot should be the strongest.
If the defender forces a forward outside it always massively improves the goalie's chances.
I've never met anyone who agrees with me, but I'm quite happy with the idea that the rest of the world is a collection of idiots.
I think I might be able to convince Sir Alex Ferguson. He made Ronaldo come inside to where the goal was at rather than showboating going outside mesmerised full backs ......... and created the world's best player.

Liam Cooper was a left footer.
Most footballers are able to use both feet but they always have a stronger foot that they prefer. I remember we once had a player on loan and he played on the right wing and he would always use his right foot to dribble and use his left foot to shoot.
