Exclamation
I have seen this rumbling on for a year or so now
And at last Matt Wilson at the Express and Star has shed some light on it ....
Now I'm not sure what to make of it so can't really make a opinion on it but it seem £27 million pounds has been put aside by JP moving it between various WBA holding companies, now it seems it was only pay shareholders off when the takeover went through.
This £27  Million however has never been used and is still in the club in some form yet can't be used, I find this baffling and can't get my head around it so the more wise of you will have to read it and make your own minds up,
But in some way or form for 2 years or so we have had 27 Million pound sitting in the club and we'll it's still there  Huh

Reason behind mysterious £27m cash transfer between two #wba accounts explained https://t.co/7rO9o9IvlA

Beefy, nothing to worry about. The movement is merely an accounting entry to move money between businesses under the same ownership. It happens all the time in more complex group structures to make sure that profits are in the correct business, for example if dividends are to be made there has to be sufficient reserves (or cumulative profits) in the business that is making the payment. Nothing unusual although some of the more suspicious amongst us will no doubt see some sort of conspiracy.

I don't know what to make of it mate but that money has been there for 2 years and not touched by anyone.
Whose is it and what if it's their another 20 years...
Can the club not use it ? one thing for sure thank God well I think I'm right it's nothing to do with our tight owner so he can't get his greasy paws on it ?

It isn’t money, it’s a balance of cumulative profit built up over years. It sits in the balance sheet and will grow ( or more likely diminish) as the business makes profits or losses over time. It could even be paid out as dividends (to all shareholders, not just Lai, if that’s what was decided. As I said this transaction is entirely normal but has been picked up by journalists and social media people who know nothing about accountancy but want to create a story where one doesn’t exist.
