Probably egged on by the media, Tottenham apparently knackered players and didn't spend anything over the summer, fans being cheated etc etc
Personal opinion is that Tottenham have a very strong squad and shouldn't spend money unnecessarily
Sure some players went to the World cup but so did from many other clubs erm Barca, Real Madrid?
Kane hasn't scored for one game obviously not the player he was(!) Even Shearer, Ronaldo etc have goal droughts does not mean they aren't taking up scoring positions or working for the team
Alderwerield is 29, Vertonghen is 31, Dembele is 31 and Lloris is 31, Dad`s army this isn't as some have suggested, central defenders easily can play into mid thirties in today's game and goalies even longer, Demebele maybe two years at the pace of the English game due to past injuries
However Tottenham have a great depth of young talent gently coming through and being nurtured the right way towards the first team this seems to be ignored rather why they haven't spent 70M each on Frenkie De Jong and Anthony Martial although either/both would add quality
For me it`s a couple of players particularly Dier and Alli who are out of form which is a problem, the latter makes a fine alternative to Eriksen if injured
Wanayama for all his talent does seem injured an awful lot
Early days and too many knee jerk reactions, I`m personally happy that Spurs are looking towards utilizing the squad rather than just the chequebook
