Perhaps not surprisingly this considering how some of the senior players appear to be reacting to our demise:-

West Brom are bracing themselves for a mass exit of players if they drop down to the Championship, with Northern Ireland defender Jonny Evans, 30, England goalkeeper Ben Foster, 34, English defender Craig Dawson, 27, and England striker Jay Rodriguez, 28, all attracting interest from other clubs.

I can see a rash of transfer requests from the players once their existing salaries are cut in half. Angry

I agree Silver although I would be surprised if Ben Foster, Brunty or Mozza actively look for a move. I believe they are loyal Albion men as displayed by Brunty’s dressing room outburst after the Huddersfield game. The same can’t be said for Barry, Evans, Livermore, Gibbs etc and the jury is out on the others. Our loanees would of course be in their taxis. It will be a time for re-building and the first block in the build should be Dan Ashworth followed by a new exciting Head Coach.

Having a clear-out of the players infected with the Pulis disease wouldn’t be a bad thing as the whole club has to be sanitised of his effect and influence before we can move forward.

In many ways the buck stops at Jeremy Peace’s door as he was the one who started the rot that puts us in the position we now find ourselves and that was Peace’s decision to appoint Pulis.

My views on that appointment are known and well recorded. Perhaps with the benefit of hindsight, we should have stuck with Steve Clarke who’s dismissal on performance grounds was nothing compared to that of Pulis and Pardew.

Baggieman, I don't blame Peace for appointing Pulis, it's what we needed at the time, blame him a little for not spending but he was trying to sell, would you upgrade a 2 litre engine to a 3 litre in a car your selling, the answer is no. The rot accelerated when TP was not removed having steadied the ship plus one season ...... his style was bringing the club down and he should have been gone.

Tony Pulis was a necessary evil at the time. He was the football equivalent of a prostate exam; not particularly enjoyable (unless you're called BeefyBaggie Whistle) but necessary to ensure good health for the future in that region (Premier League).

However, Tony Pulis had a shelf life of 18 months and he should have gone at the end of the 2015/2016 season when we finished 14th. The quality of football had decreased rapidly and the season finished with 1 win in our final 10 matches causing a big number of fans, myself included, to turn on him and want him gone.

....not sure there would be a huge queue for these players. They've not exactly shown themselves in a good (or even moderate) light this year. IMHO TP must shoulder a lot of the blame, but the players haven't responded to AP as they needed to, and THE PLAYERS are generally at fault more than AP.
In my opinion.

Sadly I think you lose the guys you'd really like to keep and retain the ones nobody wants, although I think the list of players we'd like to retain is dropping as each match passes. I'd be really sad to see Fozzie leave (I'm not sure he will) and I'd also like to retain Brunt, a fit Jimmy Morrison, Yacob, Rodgriguez and GMac as I think they would have an excellent influence on younger players coming through (in Jimmy's case, he'd obviously be "the muscle", just ask Saido).Of the players touted as probably leaving, I'd be sad to see Dawson and Hagazi leave but they will. As for the rest, away you go! Sadly, we'll probably be stuck with Robson-Kanu, Livermore, Nyom etc. Having said that, there seem to be teams interested in Rondon for some reason whilst Evans should have been sold in January.

I honestly think if we appoint the right manager- young , ambitious and wanting to play attacking football- and if he builds a team based upon youth and experience (I think we have a good stock of both), then the Championship can be a positive and entertaining experience. Let's face it, some of our best match days have been in the Championship, most of our worst ones (excepting some great one off) have been in the PL.

I think how we manage the next few months before the start of the next season and the appointments we make will be critical in determining whether the club grows or declines. I'm still hopeful Thumb up

Just what gives all of these players the illusion that they are premiership players?? Clearly they are not or we would be playing in the Premiership next year, the numbers don't lie!!!
