Interesting that Chesterfield have never won the Derbyshire Senior Cup.
Alfreton or Ilkeston will play Chesterfield in the final.

That's great Matt, so we've got to make 23rd and all support Sutton Utd .......... and find some way to prevent Paul Doswell having enough money to re-lay. Have to say he sounds as though he thinks there's some possibility of changing the ruling and he doesn't sound as though he has any intention of letting Sutton slide down a step. They paid a fee for Beautyman in January. Doesn't sound as though he's aiming to lose in the play-offs
Blue, I agree. DA and AC seem like both a disaster and the cause of that disaster BUT Bob's (understandably) find a conspiracy in everything and even when they think they've found something good they go completely over the top. Poor old JBW was going to save the world single-handed, but when they saw him play he became less popular than Rolf Harris. Get a bit of perspective .......
We've sent out a younger and younger side through the rounds to play against men and they've won. It's an achievement. Alfreton would be a real test. Wherever we are next season I'd like to see some of these lads on contracts and getting games. It would be hard to have a worse season than our last two.
By the way I haven't so much got a feeling we'll win tomorrow as that it might be time for Swindon to lose. But every ex-player seems to score against us, so that's Marc Richards continuing his good run! And I'm worried Jack might pick a pointlessly gloopy team like last week. (I do hope not, I fear Dancing might try to kill him at half time!)
By the way two - when I say I'd support any protest / demo I should add IF they are well-attended and impressive. If it's about 40 people looking like reject Klansmen searching for a stray child to abuse, they'll be scoring an own goal. Whatever you do, do it well and look organised. If you look like a rabble they'll send in the troops and deport you - oh sorry that was the Tolpuddle Martyrs.

If you make everybody aware of what you intend doing then do you expect the target to just act as normal and talk to the fans and ask them what their concerns are?
Surely its better to target them when they can see and hear you. The best place to remonstrate is in the ground when AC is sat in his heated cushioned seat. With a bit of luck you might even get a few thousand people involved instead of a handful.
We might create 2 chances tomorrow - Slim and none. If JL changes his ideas then maybe just maybe we might scrape a result. I think somebody said earlier that they thought TW was having a heavy input in tactics and selection, I would agree. I just hope JL can be strong enough to go with his own ideas and do it his way.

I said before, I would sack Tommy Wright. To steal a Poochism - dinosaur. His Barnsley recruits seem like some of our weakest performers.
You are right to be angry Dancing - there is a difference between losing like you were trying to win and going down as though the sole aim was simply to be present on the pitch for 90 minutes.
Fundamentally my objection is we seem to be tinkering from week to week and it is proving inadequate. So I'd like to see something a bit more radical - a different style, or shape, or way of playing, or personnel - just a more obvious attempt at lighting the blue touch paper. If it fails, it fails, but we seem to be hoping to creep out of trouble, snatch a few points here and there and maybe Barnet and Crewe or somebody will go on an even worse run .....
Jack sounds like an imaginative, creative man, but he is coming up with intensely boring solutions. Losing run? Drop a defender. Who? Obviously Maguire, because we always do that. Why not give him confidence, and select him anyway? Make him captain! Juniors win a big game, why not give 'em all a big boost, select one of them, put another on the bench ....... leave out a regular completely like Weir for a week, make a statement the whole team will understand! Set the team a target, say 12 efforts on goal, 5 on target, get that and win ....... and you get a day off next week. Bring some pole dancers in before the game, introduce art therapy, meditate, anyfkkknthing that changes the current mindset. We seem as though we are expecting to lose and the fans can feel it. We're on railway lines and there's nobody in the signal box.
By the way, you can't wait for Carson to decide to be there to demonstrate etc ......... do it well enough and loud enough and it'll go home, make its mark. Keep doing it and he either has to stay away forever, or turn up for the experience. And make it clear that if at any time he and/or DA want to communicate with the fans so people have some idea of the club's future, then the demonstrations will stop, fans will listen and respond rationally ............. But discipline and organisation are the keys to success and judging by Bob's I fear they might be steps too far.

The biggest problem with BB is that someone comes up with a theory and it quickly escalates and soon becomes 'fact' when all it is is a guess ,this is because the vast majority haven't a clue whats going off and need a bit of drama to stimulate their dull lives .
The latest Carson statement is that they are going to stick with Jack no matter what happens .So,if we lose our next 6 games are we still having faith in Jack or are we going to try and change something in a last gasp attempt to keep our league status ?.AC just may as well keep his mouth shut but he won't because he's loving the idea of being in charge .

I just re-read what I wrote. "Discipline and organisation are the keys to success" - don't I just sound a frightening old Stalinist?
