Big Marv was definitely my MOTM last night at Tynecastle amongst a good number of Hibs players who really 'got in about Hearts' in a good, hi-energy, collective display! He carried out his task 'to a tee' and, even towards the end of the game, he was battling away at the edge of Hibs pen box to stop any Hertz move to 'nick the match'! There was a great incident where Buaben tried to 'nail him' and got 'tangled up in a heap' in the middle of the pitch. The ref, McLean, assured him of his protection and you could almost read Marv's lips telling the ref, 'Don't worry, I can deal with this c### myself, no problem' and McLean chuckling away! Definitely an unsung hero who does a good uncompromising 'tidy up job' for Hibs and has been doing it for quite a while.

I'm a big fan of Bartley, he rarely dives in and he tries to usher his opponent away from the danger area. He's always in danger of being booked, but his opponents know they've been in a game. Top man in my opinion.

I think he is a big player for us,but at times he slows the play down too much in games where we need to be on the front foot.

wednesday was perfect for him cos the jambos game was so one dimensional and he just had to get stuck in at the second balls. basically  buaben got the ball (and if he didn't give it away to us) passed to berra who lumped it up for laugherty or that other oaf isma. Thats was it
