Scottish Cup 4th round draw - It is Hearts AGAIN!
#1
So another cup draw v Hearts at Tynecastle is starting to become 'suspicious' eh! Rolleyes Three years 'on the trot' and a cup draw that was fairly 'rare' in years gone by has suddenly 'become the norm'! However, moving away from this questionable issue, one has to say that this is still a good draw v Hearts who are definitely not that good a side compared with Hibs and our form is very good against them! It's a fixture to be played on Sun 21 January 2018 and Hibs fans will be relishing another confrontation with Hertz and extending our unbeaten run!

Craig Thomson possibly as the assigned referee?? I'll bet he is given at least one of their 2 x home matches v Hibs! I noticed that last Saturday's Saints' defeat was officiated by that numpty and that is another defeat to add to the long list of Thomson officiated matches even though he actually awarded Hibs a pk!! I don't get the SFA logic of assigning Hearts matches to Thomson - totally baffling and it would not be allowed in England where the FA set a clear rule re ref affiliations + an affidavit to confirm any links to footie clubs.

A 'wee bonus' for Hibs before tackling this fixture at Tynecastle - 'laughing boy's' appeal to rescind his red card v the Dons is rejected by the SFA - suspended for 2 x matches and one of them is the Derby cup tie confrontation! That'll do us nicely although he hardly kicked a baw in the last Embro Derby which we should've won with that great Ollie Shaw strike that was wrongly disallowed!

He didn't really cause us any bother last time out.

Fair enough appeal the card but it looked a straight red to me.

It satisfies Potter's extreme defensive tactics which Lenny rightly criticised after the last Embro Derby and I scoff at his proud comment of club record breaking in not losing a goal in so many matches - it ties in with the whole negative persona of Levein as a player (how negative was that c### with his alien use of the 60-70 yard pass back!!!), a manager who was really found out as a negative, anti-footie man and recently condemned as a 'horrible human being' (quote) by Mikey Stewart on bbc Sportscene - a pretty strong 'off the cuff' remark btw!
