WBA vs Crystal Palace - Match Thread

Just got back (to Cornwall) from one of my few pilgrimages.
All my old East Stand mates reckon I should be mascot, because we always put in a good show when I turn up. (My last game we beat Gunners back in November). They're having a whip-round to fly me up on a regular basis but, if you feel like contributing, I'm quite happy to make home and away appearances every week - and I don't mind Premier Inns, if that's all you can afford.

Just like to say that GaryMac was faultless, and I'm Rondon's biggest critic - but he looked like a Premier player at long last.
Wasn't Bolasie fantastic, though, for Palace? Any chance we could get players like him in in the summer?

An excellent first half performance yesterday. Pity we couldn't replicate that in the second half but we've come to expect that.
Bit of a howler from Olsson to give Palace something to build on but in his defence, he probably forgot he was 35 - 40 yards from goal, he usually has to defend on the edge of the penalty area :-)
The second goal, as Ska'd posted, was never a free kick. Couldn't believe Chester got a yellow for that.
What about Wards dive shortly afterwards when McLean didn't even touch him? Referee duped again. Very poor. Having said that, Palace had a couple of decent penalty shouts denied.

Full credit to all (apart from Jonas for the goal !) several players really stood up and Berahino, Rondon and Sess were electric.
I can't stand him but wasn't Gardner fantastic ?
Nervy but 3 points, but as several other posters say we look so much better attacking teams and the jitters start when we sit back and invite pressure.
Glad I went but typical Albion to make hard work of a game that should have been won after 30 mins.
Can we kidnap Bolasie please ?

If you can guarantee more football like in the first half, I'll throw in a curry and a pint in The Vine as well talkSAFT!  Big Grin

Brilliant team performance and the only downside for me was the mix up between Jonas and Fozzy.

I live in hope that it will be one of many good performances we see now until the end of the season, although I do fear we can just as easily revert back to type and hoofball again.

Don't be fooled by that 30 minutes chaps........ Yes it was brilliant, I was sitting in the BRE in shock. Pulis must have given them a bollocking at Half time, something like "What the F*** are you doing attacking and shooting".

we have seen glimpses of this before, play well and allowed to attack once in every 15 games, then back to the most boring horrible football you have ever seen.

Olsson gave them hope and they moved up through the gears when he made that horrendous mistake and Bolaise then caused us massive problems.

A great win in the end but one swallow doesn't a summer make and IMO Pulis needs to go at the end of the season UNLESS we continue to play this way then he may redeem himself.
