Just to play Devil's Advocate, it might get be for the best that he gets involved again at this point. If we make it to the final we'll have to play a match without McGregor, and McCulloch is probably the most likely replacement for him in a back 4, and in a back 3 he's probably preferable to Mohsni...just about.

Mind you, the prospect of a back 3 including McCulloch AND Mohsni for that Motherwell game would be pretty terrifying.

Well, made it to half time without conceding. F*cking painful to watch though.

I'll take a bit of pain if we get the right result. I still think we'll need a goal here though.

SPFL1 Play-Offs SF2, Saturday 23/05/2015 :

Hibernian 1-0 Rangers

Churchill once said 'One is enough' ... but he was not thinking about Hibernian !
Rangers weathered the early storm from Hibernian, then came into the match, looking comfortable throughout, despite being on the defensive for the greater part of the game (which was to be expected in this match).
Jason Cummings' last minute goal gave the game to Hibernian, but Rangers progress 2-1 on aggregate.
Rangers play Motherwell in the play-off final first leg this Thursday.

Match Report : Rangers FC - Hibernian 1-0 Rangers (1-2)

Attendance : 14,742 (SSN)

Manager's verdict : Rangers FC - McCall Relieved To Progress

He played well. Maybe just needed a rest.

I thought we were overly defensive, but it's a results game so not overly bothered.

Set our stall out early and delivered! Thought young Murdoch was fantastic again, Waldo had a great game too. Have to say Jig Had a great match as well. One more hurdle lads!

Congratulations, lads. Two gritty, stifling displays from Rangers allied to 2 goals at home were enough to see off a misfiring Hibs. I think you'll beat Motherwell fairly comfortably over 2 legs, but then again, I thought we'd beat you in our games!

Thanks, Ritchie.

Now Rangers are through I will admit I was thinking we could lose to Hibernian over the two legs, given our record v Hibernian this Season.
Fortunately for us, Stuart McCall seems to have the measure of Alan Stubbs over tactics, etc, as our recent results show (despite Jason Cummings' last minute goal today).

If Rangers get through against Motherwell then I think Alan Stubbs will be proved right in his prediction and Hibernian will win SPFL2 next Season. Otherwise it will be Rangers, with Hibernian also gaining promotion, through the Play-Offs.
