Thought you might like my original comment Devon. Sorry that it cost you a pile of potential points through no fault of your own.
I was post number 3, until it was suddenly Snoots, though it's bugger all to do with Snoots. I've been complaining about posts that disappear on here (amongst a few other things that don't work properly any more) for ages. My signature is a clue to one of them.

Division One results for Matchday 17: After a recount, the results are in. And the winner. Of the 2025 HTAFC Prediction League. Is. By one single point......
Baggiebob(BBB)
Congratulations, Bob and commiserations to neonfoxinthebox, who having led since Matchday 6, has blown it right at the end. Bob started well on the last day, picking up points in the lunchtime Championship games, whereas neon lost 2 points with his joker on a Brizzle City win. Bob had the only positive joker of the day, picking Blackpool to win. But neon's biggest let down is a prediction that had WRONG!!! written all over it in red biro. He put Town down to beat Orient! Oh, neon!
So Bob had the week's top score of 20 points, leapfrogging both neon and Snooty. St Charles Owl had the second highest, which almost, but not quite, got him out of the relegation Play Off spot. Jjamez had another stinker and had it not been for his good comeback score last week, would've been in the Play Offs himself.
As expected, the defending champion, themaclad has been relegated and will start next season in Division Two. His season started badly, had a remarkable resurrection, but then faded badly as Snooty and SCO got their acts together and overtook him.
So St Charles is in the Play Offs. Who will his opponent be?

Division Two results Matchday 17: And after another recount, it's congratulations to ritchiebaby. Not as close as the Division One finish, but he wins it by seven points. He got off to a great start this season, by jetting off to the other side of the world and relying on pre-arranged scores and never looked back, despite the chasing pack slowly creeping back over the last few weeks.
That chasing pack became a chasing pair, with Devongone dropping out of the running and so it was down to Shep and theo to either catch ritchie or claim the promotion play off place. And with getting this week's top score of 28 points, that runner up and winner of the play off spot is........
SHEP_HTAFC
Well done, Shep and unlucky, theo.
Shep will now play St Charles Owl in the promotion/relegation play off, which starts on Thursday with the Championship Play Off fixtures. I'll get the thread on over the next few minutes, so good luck to both players.
At the foot of the table, Amelia's Town like form continued and she finished last, 13 points behind Wakey. Come on, Chaffers, better luck next time.

Well done again to all, especially BBB, ritchie and Snoots for sorting out all the typo's and cryptic clues some of us leave for goalscorers and teams. I checked after the game and knew I'd got a reasonable score, but I also knew SHEP and ritchie were in similar territory without checking their goalscorers (other than Stansfield as we'd all gone for him). At least I'm not 4th for a change.
Good lucjk in the play-off's.
