Group A
Twerton 18
Amelia 16
Themaclad 15
A.A.A. 7
Zinman 5
Minizin 3
Definitely a table of two halves this week in Group A, top 3 scoring well and the bottom 3 having a week to somewhat forget. Plus we had a first in the history of the league as far as I can see, but more on that later!!
Twerton’s rollercoaster ride continues for another week, this time he moves again from bottom back to the top of the table, this time with 18 points!! He got a spot on Gamball, the only player to score positive points on it this week and backed that up with one more CS but missed on his bonus. Amelia continued her pretty good recent form with 16 points, she got a max on the Bonus plus scored on multiple other games. League Leader Themaclad was third with 15 points, he managed 3 CSs but missed on all his balls to keep his score lower than it could have been.
Big gap to the bottom half where AAA finished with 7 points, he managed to get 2 CSs but missed on all his balls. Zinman ended with 5 points, he did get one CS but not much else. Last place this week goes to Minizin whose run of poor form continues with just 3 points. He did manage one CS but as i alluded to above he played his Bonus and Scoreball on the Manc derby, so due to getting his prediction wrong and it ending as a 0-0 draw he managed to end that game with -4 points, never seen that before!!!
308 Themaclad
279 Twerton
271 Zinman
258 Minizin
210 Amelia
203 A.A.A.
A couple of positional changes this week. Themaclad keeps his decent lead intact but is now ahead of Twerton who jumped over Zinman into 2nd spot. Minizin is solid in 4th but now there is a bit of a gap between him and 3rd spot. Amelia has once again jumped ahead of AAA, but both of them are now over the 200 point mark. Still enough points available for a few changes but the playoffs are looking set from a Group A perspective.
Cheers

BaggieOne 11

A second consecutive week of 7 wrong gamballs, just one positive bonus but at least everyone scored something on the scoreball.....though not necessarily in a positive way. This week also saw SCO equal the season's highest number of correct scores and Lady Jane become the 2nd player to fail to predict a single correct result....and as those 2 players were occupying the 2 top spots in the league, things may have just become very interesting!
Fresh from grappling with Trump's economic incontinence, SCO gets some light relief as he heads this week's table. He scored on 5 games and got 4 of them spot-on. Unfortunately the 5 he got wrong included the gamball and bonus so his overall total was lower than it might have been. BaggieOne scored on just 3 games, 2 of them correct scores, and was the only player to collect from his bonus ball to see him comfortably in 2nd spot.
The next 4 players all got 3 correct results and 1 correct score....unfortunately Derby played his scoreball on the Manchester Derby to end up 2 points worse off and prevent a 4 way tie for 3rd place. Lady Jane had a nightmare failing to predict any matches correctly though she did at least pick up the scoreball point to save herself from a total wipe out.
266 Lady Jane
261 SCO
240 Derby
236 Stairs
215 BBB
205 Snooty
186 BaggieOne
So, no positional changes this week but after months out on her own at the top of the table, Lady Jane is under severe pressure from SCO who now sits just 5 points behind her. With just 4 (5? - see below) weeks left until we get to the play-offs, can she hang on to top spot?
So, for Easter weekend, do you want 1 or 2 sets of fixtures - the split may be fairly arbitrary with games being played on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday?
