Hibs v St Johnstone - Saturday 6 April

Now we're coming to the crunch games near the end of the season, it's vital we get some more points on the board. If we get in the top 6, that's great, but I'm also keen to get a decent cushion above the bottom 3 teams.

The visit of the Perth Saints gives us a great chance to distance ourselves from them, as they are currently 10th but only 10 points behind us. If we lose tomorrow, we could be in danger of having a nervy end to the season.

One positive point is that Myziane Maolida was named the Premiership Player Of The Month for March, having scored 4 goals, 1 in each game. If we could get Martin Boyle, Elie Youan and Adam Le Fondre joining in on a regular basis we'd have few worries - that's ignoring our defensive frailities of course. Doh

This game is now the most important one of the season now for you guys. Lose and that is bottom six for Hibs as I cannot see Dundee losing all of their remaining games.

I always thought, when I watched Hibs regularly, that St Johnstone held something over you and always seemed to get a decent result..........hope for your sakes that is not the case today.

If it doesn't go well, what do you think will happen to Montgomery..........given the Summer for a rebuild or shown the door immediately? Huh

Too close to the truth with your post, HB. I might need my head looked at, but I'm tempted to stay up well after my bedtime tonight to see if we're really as bad as we're painted. Plus can anyone tell me why Sportscene is always on after Match Of The Day? It is supposed to be BBC Scotland after all, so surely our football games should take precedence over the English ones.

Smart Alec answers from our English friends are expected but not necessarily welcome. Whistle

Well, just more of the usual. Doh Playing well enough but can't convert enough of our chances. Giving the ball away in attack meant the Saints scored in a breakaway. Their second was due to terrible marking from a corner kick.

For me, our problems are down to individual mistakes by players, not necessarily the manager. We'll be OK as long as Ross County keep on losing/drawing. For next season??? - a new central spine with an extra bit of steel, especially in defence.

Nick Montgomery "I know where I can take this club moving forward. Today was a setback because it was a game we wanted to win and we needed to win. I can feel everybody's frustrations because we were expected to win and we should have won, the stats will tell you that but stats don't win a game. You have to put your chances away and we didn't do that today and we got punished."

We just aren't very good i'm afraid. Our centre backs are terrible and ship laughable goals constantly.

I'm not even enjoying the style of play from NM, just really slow and predictable.
