Overwhelming excitement about this competition, then.
Not even a shaft of light in the darkness from a Ska'd preview.
I'm going 6-0 Stoke.

I remember our debut in The League Cup (as it was then, in '65-66). We beat Saddlers 3-1 in front of 41,000. Then we thrashed SkyBlues, Leeds, and The Vile on the way to winning the 2-leg Final against Hammers. Absolutely great days, and we never dreamt of putting out a reserve side.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

I usually just do a generic League Cup thread and had meant to put one up today, but have been busy right up till now. That said, as you have to go back five years to find a League Cup thread that lasted beyond August, a bit of defeatism is probably warranted.

I predict a loss. It’s to protect my very fragile state of mind.

Didn't watch the game as I was too depressed after the weekend...

But to concede 1 minute after equalising shows the level of professionalism, or lack of, in our squad. Pathetic.

Just read that there were 2 yellow cards, for time wasting, at 2-1 down with few minutes left on the clock.......
