I remember our debut in The League Cup (as it was then, in '65-66). We beat Saddlers 3-1 in front of 41,000. Then we thrashed SkyBlues, Leeds, and The Vile on the way to winning the 2-leg Final against Hammers. Absolutely great days, and we never dreamt of putting out a reserve side.

I usually just do a generic League Cup thread and had meant to put one up today, but have been busy right up till now. That said, as you have to go back five years to find a League Cup thread that lasted beyond August, a bit of defeatism is probably warranted.

Didn't watch the game as I was too depressed after the weekend...
But to concede 1 minute after equalising shows the level of professionalism, or lack of, in our squad. Pathetic.
