Fleetwood Town defender Kayden Hughes has signed a new long-term contract to remain with the League Two side until the end of the 2026-27 season.

The 18-year-old came through the club's academy having joined from local grassroots side Bispham Juniors Football Federation.

The centre-back signed his first professional contract in 2023 and made his first-team debut for the club earlier this season.

Hughes, who has since made a total of nine appearances in all competitions, signs his new deal with a further year's option.

Fleetwood Town have cancelled striker Mipo Odubeko's contract with immediate effect.

The 22-year-old was Fleetwood's seventh recruit of the summer transfer window when he joined in August.

Odubeko had been a free agent after leaving Portuguese second division side Maritimo and joined on a one-year contract.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 made 11 appearances for the club in all competitions scoring one goal.

Fleetwood have signed Carlisle United midfielder Harrison Neal for an undisclosed fee on a deal until the end of the 2025-26 season.

The 23-year-old joined the Cumbrians from Sheffield United last January and scored one goal in 42 league appearances.

He is the third player to join the Cod Army this month after they made striker Kian Harratt's loan from Huddersfield permanent and defender Shaun Rooney rejoined the club.

Neal could make his debut for Pete Wild's men in Saturday's trip to in-form Salford City.

Fleetwood Town have signed Leicester City defender Brandon Cover and Aston Villa forward Kobei Moore on loan for the rest of the season.

Cover, 21, has played once for the Foxes senior team and for the Jamaica national team.

He spent the first half of the campaign on loan at fellow League Two side Port Vale, where he appeared in 20 games and scored twice.

Moore, 20, has yet to play a senior game for Villa but has scored 13 goals in 37 games for the club's under-21 side.

His move to Fleetwood will be his first experience of first-team football.

Fleetwood Town have signed Sheffield United forward Louie Marsh on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has also signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract with the Blades.

He could make his debut for Pete Wild's men in Saturday's home game against Cheltenham Town.

The Cod Army are 15th in League One with nine wins, nine draws and nine defeats from their 27 games this season.

Fleetwood Town have triggered an option on Ryan Graydon's contract to keep the midfielder at the club for another season.

Graydon will now be at Highbury for a third season as part of Pete Wild's squad.

The 26-year-old Irishman joined the Lancashire club in 2023 from Derry City and has scored 17 goals in his 71 games for the Cod Army, including 13 this season.

Fleetwood finished League Two in 14th place.

Fleetwood Town have activated one-year contract extensions for Finley Potter and Phoenix Patterson.

Defender Potter, 21, played 32 games this season while forward Patterson, 24, made 46 appearances.

They have followed on from Ryan Graydon and Ronan Coughlan also getting new deals to remain part of Pete Wild's squad.

As they stay at Highbury, veteran midfielder Danny Mayor, Ryan Broom and Callum Dolan are set to depart.

While goalkeeper Jay Lynch and defender Harrison Holgate are in discussions to stay at the club.

Fleetwood finished 14th in League Two in their first season after relegation from the third tier.

Fleetwood Town goalkeeper Jay Lynch has signed a new two-year deal to remain with the League Two club until the end of the 2026-27 season.

The 31-year-old joined the Cod Army in the summer of 2022 and has made 129 appearances for the club in all competitions.

"I feel at home here - the backing from the gaffer, the staff, and the supporters has been brilliant," Lynch told the club website., external

"I'm determined to repay that faith over the next two seasons."

Lynch joins Phoenix Patterson, Ronan Coughlan, Finley Potter and Ryan Graydon in remaining at the club, with the quartet triggering 12-month extensions due to appearance clauses.

MK Dons have signed Crawley Town forward Rushian Hepburn-Murphy for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old, who began his career at Aston Villa, scored 11 goals in 46 games for Crawley last season, including four in their last three.

He left Villa for Israeli side Pafos in 2020 and spent two years there before joining Swindon Town and then Crawley last summer.

"Rushian is a player I have watched over many seasons, and I like the qualities he can add to this team," said Dons boss Paul Warne.

"He's somebody who wants to kick on with his career, he will be an exciting addition for now and in the future."

The deal was completed before Tuesday's 19:00 BST deadline and he is the second player to move to Stadium: MK so far this summer following former Derby County winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

"For me, this club should never be in League Two - who wouldn't want to play here and get back up the leagues as quick as possible," Hepburn-Murphy said.

His contract details have not been disclosed.
