Anybody remember him. He was a tall young centre back who was almost permanently fifth sub' for us when we went into the National League. I don't know if he ever got on the field for us.
Now he's playing for Stamford who are top of the Midlands Division of the Northern Premier. On Sunday there was a picture of him in the Non-league Paper, having scored to ensure victory. He has put on some weight. He's a big lad.
If we got him in the gym pre-season maybe he'd scare a few people. Looking at him, if he says its Thursday then I for one won't be arguing.

Vaguely remember the name but not him. Part of our history easily forgotten. Thursday comes around every week so I think I'll wait a couple of days if I was Paul Cook.
Am sure he will have his markers out for next season by now. If not I would ask him why?

Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?

I'm afraid he's so large that he's likely to be too slow for a higher division now, although Stamford are taking him up probably. I wouldn't sign up, unless he demanded it, then he's so big I'd cave in.
I think Chay Dunkley and Marshall Willock could do well in combination on banjo and slide guitar. Wonder if Shrewsbury would let us have Chay.
Surely if we fail to go up we won't keep Cookie on will we? I can't see him wanting to stay. EFL clubs will be calling maybe ......

I think he will stay at least another season and that's if we do go up. He hasn't covered himself in glory so far but take us up at Wembley he will have the chance of making it 2 promotions in 2 seasons. He wouldn't be able to resist. Pity it wasn't the season before last Marshall Willock could have had a Smith and Weston hoedown.

It sounds daft but I'd be happier with Cookie managing in EFL2 than the National League. Unless the penny has suddenly dropped in the last couple of weeks I've never felt he got the non-league game.

I remember him. On Football Manager 18 he was my first choice centre back when I did a Chesterfield save. Managed to get that team promoted to L1 with 3-4 changes. Hard to believe we got relegated out the Football League, Caldwell should have bought in some wingers and full-backs with that squad because it wasn't a bad squad just a bad system and formation that he played.
