Well at the start of the season, I really didn’t think it was likely but after today’s display I am starting to think that level 3 could actually be a possibility next season.
Mismanagement in the extreme has caused the present predicament, by basically spun king off money over the last few years, ever since the purchase of anichebe and Chadli, I can’t think of one purchase deal which has been successful. Some may have a better memory than me.
Zohore 8 million, Grant £15 million, Diangana no one knows but somewhere around 12 to 16 million. Can’t add Dike as not seen him play yet. There may be 10 million worth if you add them all together.
At the moment I am thinking tell some players that their contract will not be renewed next summer and get them out on loan in January as they then have a chance of getting a game next year, as we will not be playing them for the rest of this season.
Then play some of the under 23’s, some will fail and some not but at least they will try, and will be better players for next year.
Top of my list of releases are Livermore and Zohore. With more to follow.
I feel better for that, rant over.

The temptation to use the players who have let everyone down time and time again is far to great. They have to be removed completely. Now not in 3 weeks time.
Bartley - Livermore - Phillips - Furlong - Townsend should join Zohore on the banished step.
If they hang about they will reappear, this is the clear sign of a weak manager. I'm looking at Carlos to stamp his authority on the pi55 takers immediately. They have had chance after chance and are no longer worthy of wearing the shirt ever again.

Dike`s contract will be up before he reaches 90minutes playing time. I do however expect him to try and go to the WC. (World Cup, not the other one.)

There is no doubt that our transfer dealings over several years have been absolutely appalling...
There were the odd few good signings under Bilic.
Ajayi was a good deal at £2m. Although never developed into Prem class, is a good defender at this level who also chipped in with a good goal tally in the promotion season.
Romaine Sawyers, likewise, at £2m, was integral to our promotion. Should've been replaced when we were promoted as he clearly didn't have the legs, defensive awareness or tackling ability (seen stronger tacklers playing u13's) to play deep in midfield. Unfortunately our management made him look stupid in the Prem. But he did what he was bought for.
Matheus Pereira was a good signing, who when paired with a proper target man under Allardyce, even looked good in the Premier League.
Unfortunately for every good signing, there have been 3 or 4 bad ones. Grant and Zohore in particular, were just dreadful. What anyone saw in these, I'll never know.
Even this season, our salary saving merry go round is just bizarre. Loaning out Mowatt to sign Mulumby for example, makes no sense to me.
Scouting is a big problem and it's gone from bad to worse from what I can see...

Can we have Grant back then if you don't want him?

Our recruitment dept is a joke.
Only our managers actually bring players in, they are either in the little black book, friends of friends or neighbors.
The don't even manage to move players on when they have a value. Sell players at way below market price or buy and pay extortionate fees. Good at handing out contracts.
Massive reason we are where we are.

I hope we have not got another 17/18 Nacer Chadli on our hands.

At least we got Monaco to give us some money for him when he had worn the hydopool out.
