Wigan Athletic have signed striker Will Goodwin on loan from Oxford United for the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old has made three brief substitute appearances in the Championship for the U's this season, with his last game coming against Millwall at the end of November.
Goodwin joined Oxford from Cheltenham in January 2024, four months before the the club won promotion to the second tier.
He is Wigan's third signing of the January transfer window, following the earlier arrivals of defender Josh Robinson from Arsenal and forward Joe Hungbo from German side FC Nurnberg.
Manager Shaun Maloney said:, external "Will is another player we have been tracking for some time and I'm delighted he's decided to join us.
"He already has experience in League One and is the type of character we want in the dressing room.
"He has different attributes to our other forward players and adds a new dynamic to our frontline."
Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by Birmingham City left Wigan 17th in League One, seven points above the relegation zone.

Wigan have made their fourth signing of the January transfer window, bringing in Carlisle defender Jon Mellish for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The 27-year-old, who can play at left-back, central defence or also in midfield, made 246 appearances in all competitions for the Cumbrians following his move from Gateshead in 2019.
Mellish, a key member of the Carlisle side that won promotion to League One in 2023, was ever-present in the third tier last season and featured against the Latics in the first round of the FA Cup in November.
He follows Josh Robinson, Joe Hungbo and Will Goodwin as new arrivals at Wigan since the beginning of the month.

Wigan Athletic have signed midfielder Ollie Norburn on loan from fellow League One side Blackpool.
The 32-year-old is the Latics' fifth signing of the January transfer window and joins having made 13 appearances for the Tangerines this season.
Having come through Leicester City's youth set-up, Norburn has gone on to appear for Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Guiseley, Macclesfield, Tranmere Rovers, Shrewsbury Town and Peterborough United.
"The opportunity to come here is huge for myself and I want to get to the high levels of performance that I know I can. I am really happy to be here and I can't wait to get going," he told the club website, external.
"I have been captain at a few different clubs and I will hope to bring that experience and leadership to the group. It is a team full of talent and hopefully I can help bring out the best in them."

Wigan Athletic have signed Crawley Town midfielder Ronan Darcy for an undisclosed fee on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 24-year-old scored six goals in 66 league appearances for the Red Devils after joining from Swindon in July 2023.
Darcy, who started his career with Bolton Wanderers, could make his debut for the Latics in Saturday's home game against Lincoln City.
"I am absolutely delighted - this is the next chapter for me, and it's my opportunity now to show everyone what I can do," he told the club website.

Wigan Athletic have signed forward Owen Dale on loan from Oxford United until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has played 30 games for the U's since joining them in February last year, and he was a consistent part of the side that won promotion to the Championship.
However, he has played only 11 games in the second tier so far this campaign, with four of them starts.
"Owen is a hard-working and talented forward player, who will be a real asset to us in the final third," said Wigan manager Shaun Maloney.
Dale began his career at Crewe Alexandra before joining Blackpool permanently in 2022, while he has also had a spell on loan at Portsmouth.

Wigan Athletic midfielder Jonny Smith has signed a new extended contract until the end of the 2026-27 season.
The 27-year-old has scored 10 times in 58 appearances for the Latics since joining from League One rivals Burton Albion in the summer of 2023, including six goals this season.
Smith, who started his career at Wrexham, has scored in three of his last four appearances for Wigan, including in Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Premier League side Fulham.
"Jonny has been an influential player during my time at the football club and is extremely popular amongst the players, staff, and supporters," said Wigan manager Shaun Maloney.

Wigan Athletic have released veteran goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and midfielder Scott Smith following the end of the 2024-25 League One season.
Lonergan, 41, joined the Latics last summer under previous manager Shaun Maloney as a goalkeeper player-coach.
He worked with Sam Tickle, Tom Watson and Matty Corran during his time with the club but will leave at the conclusion of his contract this summer.
Smith, 24, made 46 appearances in all competitions for Wigan this season and made a total of 94 appearances for the club after making his debut in 2021.
Meanwhile, the club have triggered a year's option on the contracts of Watson, Luke Robinson and Joe Adams.
