Sadly no funds appear to be heading Bruce's way. Were still on the who's free hunt ATM. Lawrence is back in our thoughts apparently. One bit of good news is Forest are now out of the way next season. Just shows what a motivated manager and a couple of astute signings can get you.

Hudds want £12-15 million for O'Brien - we can't afford him or any further 6 year contracts.
Is Lai gonna open his wallet or not is the question.

I doubt we'd sell O'Brien to another Championship club unless it was the thick end of 100% of the fee up front (it never is) plus add-on's and I doubt his ambitions would be to go to another one to be honest. He's on a pretty reasonable Championship contract at the moment and I don't see many Championship clubs being in a position to turn him into an overnight millionaire. Those coming down have plenty of those kind of wages to pay off with their parachute payments as it is regardless of how many have relegation wage reduction clauses in their contracts.
If sensible offers (not like the stupid one's L666s were offering last season) come in from Prima Donna League clubs (probably just promoted and bottom half to begin with) we'll listen and he'll move on, if it suits him too, and good luck to him. He's certainly good enough to play up there. There's a lad that played for Hull last season who is playing for England right now in Budapest.
