If you want an insight on the probable changes at the Albion listen to the Masi podcast in the Express & Star.
In his opinion there is a chance only eight of the currant squad could be left next season, Button, Griffiths, Ajayi, Townsend, TGH, Dike, Grant and O’Shea.
This podcast is an insight into some problems at the Albion. I know Masi is only a fan but he does have some inside knowledge.
Also when asked if we were interested in Jed Wallace he replied no comment. Next season will come round quicker than normal so instead of having a pop at Bruce get behind them.

The irony is that the "keep list" is made up entirely of players who have been dropped / in-and-out of Bruce's selections...

The only player on the list who hasn't been dropped for at least 1 game is Dike, because he's been injured.

The likes of Adam Reach and Darnell Furlong - both dog awful - have kept out TGH for best part...

When Bruce did pick TGH he was pretty much our best player. Yet he was the first dropped when we were on the end of the wrong result.

The only players that Bruce has picked every game when available are Livermore, Mowatt and Clarke and they haven't made the list...

Bruce has waxed lyrical about Clarke in particular which worries me. What I see is a player who is dog awful on the ball, has no pace on the deck, yet very little aerial presence in both boxes. Has scored 1 goal in 3 years at this level. Bruce seems to see him some sort of world beater. I'd be gutted if we spent a penny on someone so average. We've already been bent over with Molumby.

And that's the reason I don't see Bruce as the right man for the job for the rebuild, unfortunately.

I don't doubt he's a lovely guy, hard working, professional etc.

I appreciate he's inherited a poor squad.

But from what I've seen in his time here, he has no idea of his best side, formation or frankly anything.

In Bruce's recent interview, he said how he his best work during the "rebuild" at Villa by bringing in John Terry. For me, spending an absolute fortune on old timers to be beaten in the playoffs isn't exactly a successful rebuild...

Like Steve, I think we need to invest in exciting young players who can either become Premier League players or at least increase in value for resell. In our current squad I don't think we have a single player who is worth more than we paid for them. Maybe we'd get a million for Mowatt and picked him up on a free, that's about it.

Bruce has no experience of this sort of development and will be trying to bring in old pros on high wages, like he's done at Blues, Hull, Villa and everyone else he's been "successful" with in the Championship. I guarantee Bruce will be going for players like Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Joe Allen and other expensive oldies. And I don't think we can afford them.

Of course I'll back whoever is in charge and hope Bruce proves me wrong. But I think keeping him on is a poor decision if the club want sell the maximum amount of season tickets and bring the feel good factor back.

You've actually got quite a few players you need to keep largely because you couldn't guarantee to get better versions within a sensible budget - and there are no teams in the Championship with loads of better players than you.

You need to get rid of one or two bad influences - the worst of which is Livermore, who flies off the handle if someone farts outside Villa Park.

You can make/save money by selling your keeper. You don't need a highly-paid Alisson or an Ederson to win the Championship ...... and your version thinks he's better than he is and ends up as likely to gift a goal as the other 23 keepers in your section.

You seriously need to keep Mowatt and actually use him. Barnsley were Mowatt Utd, much as Leeds relied and still rely on Phillips. How much better should you be with better players for Mowatt to play with than at Barnsley? The only trouble is you spelled out Brucie at Scrabble, not Bielsa ....... and Stevie's too stuck in his ways to get it.

Nevertheless if I were framing the Premier League as I really think it should be then West Brom' would always be in my list of twenty clubs. And more important you are a club who most football fans tend to wish well, a club that has added to the game, not detracted from it. We like your unpredictability.

Sadly, Devon, we’ve missed the boat on selling our keeper in January so he will leave in the summer for nowt.

Steve Bruce nice guy, but another in the long line of getting pay days without making a contribution.
IMO he came to get us into the play offs with a contract extension based exactly on that.
He should leave now he failed. I'm not happy he appears to be doing the rebuild.
I predict we will be mid-table and we will hear it's a new lot of players they need time, Steve needs time to shape the team.
With his so called knowledge and experience he should hit the ground running, I'm tired of the excuses.
We need a manager who wants to prove he can build and motivate a team, not one who thinks he has already done it.

Agreed, and if he is looks at older players to build a team and pay heavier wages, why get rid of Carroll? Time now to give the youngsters a go, they couldn't do any worse.

Every time Steve talks my faith in the guy drops.
This week "we have 6 CH" we need to strengthen in other areas so we are getting rid of our best CH.
"We have 5 CF's" we need to strengthen in other areas so we are getting rid of our best CF.
We have 4 goal keepers but our best keeper is off.
It's clear Steve is just cost saving and the football is irrelevant.
I don't want him as our manager any longer.
Failed in getting in the play offs, failed to motivate players, failed tactics, failed formations, failed to bring a crop full of youngsters in. Now he's getting rid of possibly our best 3 players and he is rewarded with an extended contract.
I have a prediction. Mid-table position results in SB getting dismissed at Xmas with a nice little pay off.
He's just taking the money (PI55) with a great Xmas bonus on the way.
GET RID OF HIM NOW for free.
