The MKM Stadium (also known as the Hull City Stadium due to UEFA sponsorship regulations) is a multi-purpose facility in the city of Kingston upon Hull, England. The stadium was previously called the KC Stadium, but was renamed the KCOM Stadium as part of a major rebrand by the stadium's sponsors, telecommunications provider KCOM, on 4 April 2016.[2] In June 2021, it was renamed the MKM Stadium as part of a five-year sponsorship with MKM Building Supplies.[3] Conceived in the late 1990s,[4] it was completed in 2002 at a cost of approximately £44 million. The stadium is owned by Hull City Council and operated by the Stadium Management Company (SMC),[5] who have previously considered expanding the stadium capacity up to 32,000.
The bowl-shaped stadium contains a continuous single tier of seats with a second tier on the west side.[5] Its current capacity is 25,400.[1] The stadium hosts two tenants, association football club Hull City A.F.C., which moved there from Boothferry Park,[6] and rugby league football club Hull FC, relocated from the Boulevard.[7] It is also the largest rugby league stadium in England. The ground also hosts international association football and rugby league football competitions and acts as a venue for concerts by musical artists,[8][9][10] such as Elton John and The Who.[11][12]
MANAGER
Coaching career
After retiring as a player, Arveladze was appointed as assistant manager of AZ under head coach and former Ajax coach Louis van Gaal in July 2008. He maintained this position in the 2009–10 season under Ronald Koeman and Dick Advocaat.
For the 2010–11 season, Arveladze served as manager of Turkish side Kayserispor.[35][36] From 2012 to 2015, he managed Istanbul-based Kasımpaşa SK.
On 3 July 2015, Arveladze was named manager of Turkish side Trabzonspor. He resigned in November.
In June 2016 Arveladze was announced as the new head coach of Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv F.C. Around the middle of the season, he was fired.
In 2017, Arveladze was announced as head coach of Pakhtakor Tashkent FK in Uzbekistan.[37] He won the Uzbekistan Super League and Cup in 2019 and 2020. On 21 December 2020, he left.
On 27 January 2022, Arveladze was announced as the new head coach of Hull City on a 21⁄2-year deal.[38]

PNE Team News
Daniel Johnson will join back up with the PNE squad on Friday after completing international duty with Jamaica and he will be available for selection on Saturday.
With the addition of DJ, manager Ryan Lowe confirmed he will have the same group of players available to him as he did for the midweek game against Millwall.
Long-term absentee Josh Murphy has returned to the grass this week and should step up his return to training in the coming weeks.
The Opposition
After picking up just two league victories in their opening 16 games of the Championship campaign, Hull City’s form has improved dramatically in the past few months.
There is certainly a buzz around the MKM Stadium given the club’s recent takeover, too, and there has also been a change in management, with Grant McCann being replaced by former Ajax and Rangers striker Shota Arveladze.
He’s not the only recent incoming, though, with four new faces added on deadline day, including Allahyar Sayyadmanesh on loan from Fenerbahce and striker Marcus Forss from Brentford.
Key Stats
A Championship table starting from 5th November has Hull City sat in a Play-Off position, having picked up 23 points from 12 matches in that period.
The Tigers have proven to be defensively solid in their recent run of form, keeping three consecutive clean sheets, against Blackburn Rovers, AFC Bournemouth and Swansea City respectively.
This fixture tends to produce goals, with just four of the 63 meetings producing a stalemate, the most recent of which came back in 1983.
Our Last Victory
The last time PNE came out on top against Hull was in February 2020, when two goals in the space of four second-half minutes turned the game on its head.
Mallik Wilks had put the visitors ahead shortly before half-time, but Paul Gallagher drew his side level from the penalty spot on 67 minutes.
Alan Browne then won the game for his side, brilliantly heading home from a fantastic ball into the box from centre forward Jayden Stockley.
Man In The Middle
Darren Bond will be the referee for this weekend’s fixture, for what will be his first PNE game of the season.
He last took charge of a North End game in the final match of the 2020/21 campaign, when the Lilywhites came out on top against Nottingham Forest, while he was also the fourth official for our 2-0 victory over West Brom last month.
Bond has refereed four games so far this season, showing 15 yellow cards. He will be assisted by Richard Wild and George Byrne, with Ollie Yates on fourth official duties.
FAMOUS DEAD DUDE FROM HULL
Andrew Marvell (/ˈmɑːrvəl, mɑːrˈvɛl/; 31 March 1621 – 16 August 1678) was an English metaphysical poet, satirist and politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1659 and 1678. During the Commonwealth period he was a colleague and friend of John Milton. His poems range from the love-song "To His Coy Mistress", to evocations of an aristocratic country house and garden in "Upon Appleton House" and "The Garden", the political address "An Horatian Ode upon Cromwell's Return from Ireland", and the later personal and political satires "Flecknoe" and "The Character of Holland".
MACS VIEW
1600 make the visit to the land of Green Ginger to take on an improving Hull side who have the chance to do the double on us. Last time any of us went Ledson and DJ ended up playing full back, not a good night
They have signed five new men including an Iranian wonder kid, still surprised they got rid of McCann beware Forss up front more than useful
forward.

A slate grey sky in Humberside welcomed the travelling hordes of 1600 to take a on a club with a new owner and optimism starting to grow for a brighter future wish them well for the future.
Decent stadium this, massive car parks only sad thing is they built it on a cricket ground which had hosted first class cricket if you like teains you are in for a tret though
Traditional pre match wander as we arrive years before the kick off. Decent seats to the right of the goal every chance of being picked up in the fans gallery for the third time in recent weeks(Stoke/WBA)
Three changes from the midweek draw at Millwall. Hull tarted quicker with Lewis- Potter and Fleming causing us problems down our right flank, early corner nearly led to a goal Bernard's header headed back towards his own goal by Bauer, great save by Iversen although his next save would be a tad better
We began to probe down the flanks and started to get some joy and start to dominate, a good Hughes run led to a corner, from the second phase almighty panic in the Hull six yard box, Hughes against the underside of the bar, the rebound from Riis well saved by Ingram.
In control but pivotal moment arrived good advantage by Mr Bond possibly one of the few things he got right all afternoon, Lewis-Potter scamers away pinoint cross to Eaves, nothing wrong with the header however no one bargain for the giant Dane between the North End sticks pulling off waht Paul Walker said on Quest last night was a stupendous save, personal view it was better than that.
From that scare we regained control and then hit the post Archer being denied, the away end were starting to celebrate because the vast majority thought it was in, No score at half time was possibly the a surprise, however the first five minutes of the second half settled the contest, City didn't get started and we were all over them, Browne desperately unlucky to have his goal disallowed due to a handball, yes it is handball deliberate not really, anyway didn't matter within a minute we were in front City never really cleared a left wing attack, Whiteman picked out Archer, Little Tevez did the rest. We never really looked like scoring after that neither did the home side, they had a goa ldisallowed Eaves offside and a Smallwood shot possibly goalbound headed clear by Bauer but fairly comfortable after that.
Make the most of Iversen, Van Den Berg and Archer won't be ours next season, four points from the play offs, nah it's not on or is it?
Hull City head coach Shota Arveladze told BBC Radio Humberside:
"They worked hard and could have equalised with the last corner, but that's football and the pain makes us stronger for the next games.
"We know it's not an easy time, we know there are changes, some new players, we need them all. It was a short list of players and now it's a little bit longer so everyone has to take this chance and be ready.
"We have to do better (with the goal). We pulled out and then a short pass we lost and then we left the striker free and it was a good reaction.
"We tried second half to push and use all of our power to make an equaliser, but give them credit, too, they defended well."
Preston North End manager Ryan Lowe:
"It was a frustrating first half, and it was a decent game. It was end-to-end. My heart was in my mouth at times, but the boys put their bodies on the line.
"Foundations are built on clean sheets. Ultimately you have to be solid and resolute. The boys have been fantastic.
"We wanted to take the shackles off the boys, and I want to play the style I want to play. We're in good form but we're not going to get carried away.
"If you get back-to-back wins in the Championship, it gets you up there. All we can do is look to the next one."
