Well what a week we have had in the football world!! Aside from the traitorous threats from Zinman regarding his Superficial League proposals (see below), there have been some extraordinary events going on!! First of those is Amelia acting like she thinks she is in the Top 6!! She managed to have a table topping week with 11 points!! Secondly BBB continues his march to the title but like Everton has released a statement saying he will not be joining the Superficial League even though he wasn't invited!! Third we have Bomber who continues to surprise us with his climb up the table just like West Ham!!
Fourth we have Twerton doing his best impression of Arsenal, poor season with the occasional blip. St Charles was invited into the Superficial League but like Spurs he only has a couple of good cup runs in his history to justify his involvement but he will go along with whatever his bigger brothers tell him to do. Lord Snooty exemplifies the ambition of most of the teams in the PL, he just wants to stay above the relegation spots!! AAA acts like a Top 6 side by always playing his B team on the Gamball games, no risk of anything special but a ready made excuse when he gets it wrong.
Derby and Themaclad were copying Fulham and WBA and were both busy on the phones trying to encourage others to take the jump to Zin's League but only because this might give them a chance of not being relegated back down to the poverty of the Championship!! The best impression of the week though goes to Sanjay who drew a complete blank and a maximum negative points haul of -6, he is definitely the Sheffield Utd of this prediction league!!
BBB - 303
St Charles - 243
Sanjay - 240
Bomber - 237
AAA - 221
Lord Snooty - 219
Amelia - 204
Derby - 200
Themaclad - 179
Twerton - 162
BBB is now racing away with the title, but right behind him its all hotting up for the run in. St Charles has overtaken Sanjay and claimed 2nd place and Bomber's fine form now sees him only 3 points behind Sanjay and 6 points behind SCO!! Amelia's good week sees her go back above Derby in the battle for the relegation PO spot. Still plenty to be decided this season.
Cheers

I have a major announcement to make.
In my position as the most successful predictor in the history of this competition (3 or 4? titles speaks for itself), I have decided to create a Global Super Prediction League which will consist of me and other similarly talented individuals (ok, it's a very short list). I have approached a major US bank to discuss funding and hope soon to reveal further details. Cynics may claim that I'm doing this simply because I have little chance of promotion and this is the only way I can ensure winning anything. This is entirely untrue, instead I will ensure that any funds received are shared with you minnows (lets say 99.9% to me and a few crumbs for everyone else) so that everybody is better off. As a reward for my great recent history (well, it's better than Tottenham's) I will be awarded 10 bonus points every week and will be immune from relegation. Seems fair to me.
Clearly on the basis of this week's scores, nobody from the Championship is likely to be invited! Unusually most players chose to play the gamball and all of us regretted it. Bonuses were somewhat kinder and we were all thankful for Sunday's more predictable results - up to Saturday night the total score from all 9 players was just 6 points!
Silver takes the week's top spot as the only player to scrape into double figures thanks to 2 correct scores from his 4 successful predictions. Lady Jane was the week's best predictor with 5 correct results but lost out on both her gamball and bonus to leave her in second place. Somerset claims third thanks to being the only person to avoid the gamball - just 2 correct predictions but in a tough week that was enough for a decent place.
Minizin hasn't exactly set the world alight in recent weeks but still nobody seems able to attack his overall top spot. Just 7 points but still enough to secure 4th spot. DD and Zinman had very average weeks to sit in mid-table, Joker struggled with just 2 correct predictions but was saved from an even wosres score by one of them being his bonus. Stairs at least got a correct score but misses on his gamball and bonus means he needn't have bothered, nil points, zero, didn't bother the scorer.....but he did better than BaggieOne who is this week's minus man to damage his promotion prospects.
Minizin 269
Silver 247
Zinman 239
BaggieOne 236
Stairs 231
Somerset 223
Joker 215
DD 210
Lady Jane 200
The only change this week sees BaggieOne drop from equal 2nd to 4th, with Silver now sitting alone in the second promotion place and that selfish ***** Zinman, who clearly has no regard for the great history and traditions of this league, moving up to 3rd. Minizin has his feet up, confident of promotion based on nobody else appearing bothered to challenge him.
At the bottom, Lady Jane continues to slowly close the gap on those above her with both DD and Joker potentially in danger of finishing bottom - something Joker is very used to!
