Brewster on in 58th minute of scoreless bore draw last night against Kidderminster -

"New signing Delial Brewster offered a glimpse of his quality, outpacing the Harriers’ backline before having a cross blocked."

Got a mention.

I might be in the minority but In thought he was never really given a chance although I guess all of the last 3 managers agree he aint up to it .It will be interesting to see where he ends up ,probably Conference.

So Reece Mitchell had his contract cancelled today and tonight it has been announced he's signed for Torquay.

From 1 struggling team to another. He will probably score a few at that level but whenever I saw him play he seemed selfish when on the ball going for glory and either losing the ball or missing with a shot when a simple lay off would have put a team mate in the clear.
Cant imagine it will free up much of a wage but at least its a fringe player off the payroll.

I hope he does well. Obviously he has had talent. Playing in the FA Youth Cup for Chelsea means you are pretty good, but three managers at Chesterfield haven't had much confidence in him. Jack was clearly not considering him as more than a bench-warmer once he signed Zavon Hines and Torquay is a new start. Gary Owers isn't a bad manager and they aren't that bad a team and he'll know the keeper at least from his time trialing at Chesterfield. If he gets a bit of confidence back maybe he can start playing all the right notes in the right order. The bits I saw of him I thought he wanted to do well, but he kept trying to do things at the wrong time - if he should have had a shot in the previous move and gave the ball away then next attack he'd take the shot when it was totally inappropriate. All that happens then is you become a plonker twice instead of once. Hope he does well because at 22 it's probably his last-chance saloon.

Rumour is Richard Wood Rotherham is coming. Wasn't impressed first time round, but he is an experienced centre back.

By the way I made a list of non-league players who sound worth a go. Well Zavon Hines wasn't on it - too old really, but Joe Ward from Woking was a top name and now Peterborough have gone in AGAIN for a non-leaguer and grabbed him on a two and a half year contract. There really are players out there if we move quickly - three who come to mind are Reise Allassani of Dulwich Hamlet, Sam Barrett, Maidenhead and Paul Hodges at Hartley Wintney gets raves every week despite being dual-registered with Slough in the division above who could recall him any time but haven't ......... yet I've seen him described as the most-promising player in non-league football.
