Prediction League Results/Tables Week 9 - bomberbrown1968 - 24-11-2020

Player Pts CS CR GB BB SB
B.B.B. 18 2 3 5 3 0
Derby 18 0 7 5 3 0
Twerton 14 0 5 5 3 0
Bomber 12 0 6 5 -3 0
A.A.A. 11 1 5 NP -3 0
Amelia 10 1 3 5 -3 0
St Charles 10 0 5 5 -3 0
Themaclad 10 0 3 5 3 0
Sanjay 6 0 6 -3 -3 0
Snooty 4 0 3 -3 3 0

Decent week with nearly all players getting into double figures. Interestingly not one player managed to get the extra point from the scoreball, not seen that happen before!! Maybe the fact that we had a rare 0-0 game and 8 of the games saw at least one team fail to score as well meant that point was hard to come by!!

Current leader BBB leads the way this week along with Derby, both getting 18 points but achieving that score in very different ways. BBB was the only player to get 2 CSs and added CRs on his Gamball and Bonus. Derby scored points on a weeks high 7 games, and would have been on for a huge score had he been able to convert any of them into CSs!! Third spot goes to Twerton with 14 points, who like the top two scored on his Gamball and Bonus.

Bomber comes in 4th on 12 points, scoring on 6 games but like Derby not able to convert any of his CRs into CSs. 5th place is AAA on 11 points, he did get one CS out of his 6 scoring games but missed out on the Bonus and missed 3 extra points by not playing the Gamball.

Sixth place goes to three players on 10 points - Amelia, St Charles and Themaclad. All of them got there in different ways - Amelia got the only CS among them, SCO scored on 5 games and Themaclad only scored on 3 games but 2 of them were his Gamball and Bonus.

In 9th spot on 6 points is Sanjay. Another low score for him but unlucky for him he scored on 6 of the 10 matches but was the only player to miss on all his balls which held his score down. Lord Snooty props up the table this week with just 4 points, crucially like Sanjay he predicted a Leicester win at Anfield which cost vital points compared to everyone else.

At the top of the table BBB has extended his lead over SCO to 16 points, BBB is being very consistent this season. There is now a 17 point gap to 3rd place, and also a new player in that spot in Amelia, who overtook Sanjay who is now joint 4th with AAA. Bomber though is now just one point behind them in 6th spot, so only 3 points separate 3rd to 6th spots. At the bottom, Derby moved up a spot into the relegation PO spot, leaving Themaclad in the relegation spots with Twerton.

Cheers

Another high scoring week, in fact the best so far this year, with only 2 players failing to make double figures. We were helped by Beefy choosing some fairly predictable games, for example Man Utd and friends beating Albion and Tony Pulis nil (better get used to it, SCO, though I'm sure they all worked very aaard). Good returns from both the gamball and bonuses but not a single extra point gained from the scoreball. Stairs was the only person to score on the Villa game (what is it about those ***&^*s - on the rare occasion I don't mind them winning, they manage to lose!)

Silver heads the weekly table for the third time this season with 20 points. He scored on 7 games with one correct score and extra points from both his gamball and bonus. Stairs is just a point behind, the only player to get more than one correct score and like Silver scoring on 7of the games. His decision not to play the gamball deprived him of 3 extra points, keeping him off top spot. Zinman takes 3rd place, another point further back, scoring on 6 games including the gamball and bonus. All of the top 3 scored their highest points of the season so far.

A bit of a gap to a pack of players together in mid-table. Beefy and Minizin got 6 correct results though no correct scores, both scored on their bonuses and both declined to play the gamball, something Minizin will regret but Beefy be happy about. Lady Jane was 1 of only 2 players to lose points on her bonus, but gained respectability with a correct score and positive gamball. Joker only scored on 4 matches but got both his balls right to total 12 points, 1 ahead of Somerset, another player to regret not choosing to gamble.

BaggieOne failed to reach double figures, 1 of only 2 people to lose points on the gamball, but the Coote performance award of the week goes to DD who continued his poor start to the season, failing to trouble the scorers.

Minizin will enjoy a 3rd week on top of the overall table but sees his lead cut back - will he regret chickening out on the gamball so often? Zinman climbs to 2nd with Stairs close behind after their good week. Joker and Somerset drop back though remain very much in touch. Beefy is just clinging on to the leaders after yet another very average week.

Silver's good week lifts him a couple of places to 7th, Lady Jane climbs above BaggieOne but DD's awful week leaves him rooted to the foot of the table for the 4th consecutive week

RE: Prediction League Results/Tables Week 9 - St Charles Owl - 24-11-2020

Zinman, I have zero expectations except survival with our Tone!!! I also nearly commented in my write up that AAA must hold Pulis in high regard as he played his scoreball on Wednesday's game so he was obviously expecting us to score!!! Of course it cost him a point!!

RE: Prediction League Results/Tables Week 9 - Zinman - 24-11-2020

You'll note my prediction for Wednesday this week. I was very successful in this competition while Albion endured Pulis - I just predicted 1-0, 0-0, or 0-1 on our matches with a very high points return!
