Internationals - baggietrousers - 09-10-2020 Although I do think the current international football matches are a meaningless waste of time, and generally I wouldn't bother watching them, I did take time out to watch the ROI game if only to see how Robinson did. Got to say the boy did well and was one of the stand out players. Maybe we do have a little gem on our hands, only time will tell but definitely positive signs. Now this really really really pains me to say, and I'm only basing it on a highlights program, but how good was grealish? He certainly made his point to southgate, and how some of the other so called big clubs must regret not trying to sign him. Fair play to the vile in keeping him and tieing him down to a new contract. They will do alright this season (god that hurts). RE: Internationals - derbybaggie - 09-10-2020 I also hate to say it but Grealish was really good last night, I watched the whole match. Maybe kept the ball too long on occasions but often looked like it was stuck to his feet like glue. Not looking forward to playing the seals. RE: Internationals - silverbaggie - 09-10-2020 Good player and made a good impression on his first game for England. Having finally seen him play, I can now understand why Grealish gets fouled so much. Could have a good international career if he can stay injury free but, he does seem to invite the rough stuff by hanging on to the ball that extra yard when a pass might be more appropriate. I particularly enjoyed the reaction by Coady and his team mates to the lad's first International goal. Danny Ings overhead kick for the third wasn't bad either. Can't help feeling though that Wales need to replace Ryan Giggs as Manager. He just doesn't hack it for me. RE: Internationals - drewks - 10-10-2020 I didn't see the game - really thought it was England 2nds v Wales 2nds, and there's only going to be one winner there. |
