So there are rumours going around saying they had been talking to Bristol City and that's why they've been sacked. That has to be bollocks! Why would we sack them instead of claiming compensation?
Reece Dinsdale, celebrity Town fan, has said on Twitter that he and Danny were exchanging DM's this morning and Danny was so excited about building the squad and giving the fans something to be proud of. Something went desperately wrong in the next couple of hours, but it has to be said that they weren't thinking of leaving.
Baffled!

It must be something they've said to him, or something he thinks they've said or done. Potentially a few players don't get on with him, which might explain the abject performances in a few recent games but name me a squad anywhere where everyone gets on with the boss. There will be a few at Liverpool and Man City that don't get on with their's because they don't think they get enough chances to play.

They might not have been thinking of leaving, but looks like the club had made their decision due to the line in the statement where it says they are not seeking applications!! This suggests they have someone already lined up!!

Maybe the disagreement with Phil and Danny was over Karlan Grant. Just speculating but there's a story in the Yorkshire Post that he's on his way as well. Could it be another Marcus Stewart situation, but Danny hasn't toed the line like Fat Head Bruce did?

I must admit it does seem strange.
PH paid big money to get these two in and they have done the job of keeping us in the Championship so it does seem weird that he's now sacked them.
Does it bother me that they've been sacked..no, not one bit.
The football has been dour, his tactics have been questionable and so has his substitutes through a game.
Lots questioning the chairman but for me he has shown some big bollocks here because if this all goes tits up then it won't be the manager the crowd are having a go at it'll be Phil Hodgkinson.
Whoever he appoints has to hit the ground running next season otherwise i can see sack the board chants inside and outside of the stadium.
