Even I can't get Bob Dylan into this list. Nor can I put these into order.

Paul Simon
Emma Kirkby
Ted Hawkins
John Lennon
Dinah Washington
Hugh Masekela
John Martyn
Lucinda Williams
Nancy Griffith
Ugg the Cave-Dweller

But it will (almost) all change again by tomorrow...

Picking Paul Simon over Art Garfunkel is an interesting move, to say the least.

Don't think I can muster a full ten, as I've always tended to rate writing ability over singing voice, but a few who've been overlooked:

Kate Bush
Kurt Cobain
Lauren Mayberry
Tom Waits
Kirsty MacColl

Whow - IMPOSSIBLE!!

A few absolute giants (IMHO!) missing from the lists so far:

Carly Simon
Karen Carpenter
Etta James
Otis Redding

Yes, I wondered about Simon vs Garfunkel. Art is quite ethereal but I just thought Paul has got more variety, and his voice can sound just as pure when he bothers. I'm probably swayed by the song-writing, though.

I think I need to swap Marvin Gaye for one of those anyway. Ugg may be in danger.

4) Karen Carpenter
5) Judith Durham

and for the boys:-

8) Bryn Terfel

It's not so much about purity as sheer vocal range. There's a reason why Art sings Bridge Over Troubled Water; if you hear Paul doing it solo, he avoids all the soaring high notes that make the song. Brilliant songwriter (the fact he could afford to throw away an incredible protest song like A Church Is Burning in the 1960s, in favour of stronger material, is astonishing in itself); but other singers often do his work more justice.

If it does change tomorrow ...hope Ted Hawkins stays there. Thanks for reminding me of this fella...

Listen to a lot of music but have not ever heard a singer with a better range of voice than David Draiman .
