Falkirk v Hibs - 06/12/14 - ritchiebaby - 04-12-2014 Hibs have now gone 8 games since their last defeat in the Championship and I'd be looking for Hibs to extend that away to Falkirk on Saturday. It looks as though Dominique Malonga will be out for this one, so we look to Jason Cummings to step up to the mark. I don't think Paul Heffernan is the answer and I'd rather see Stanton start just behind Cummings. The defence seems to be reasonably settled, although Oxley must be close to being dropped after his howler against Alloa in the Cup. Hopefully he'll not let it happen again, so I'd keep him in, but with a stern warning about his concentration. Falkirk are not exactly on top form, but they're hanging in there and will be just as stuffy and dangerous as Alloa and Dumbarton were at times. Rory Loy is probably their most dangerous player - 25 goals in 49 games. Botti Bia Bi was another dangerous player when he laid on 2 goals for ex-Hibee Tom Taiwo in their 2-1 victory over Dunfermline in the Challenge Cup in August. He was then ordered off for head-butting a Pars player and then head-butted another one on his way off the pitch. ![]() My Hibs team:- Oxley, Gray, Fontaine, Hanlon, Stevenson, Kennedy, Robertson, Craig, Allan, Stanton, Cummings Normally, I wouldn't have Craig in the team, but until McGeouch is ready to return, he's probably the best of the rest. I'd keep Harris, Sinclair and Handling to come on from the bench. RE: Falkirk v Hibs - 06/12/14 - TIN TIN - 05-12-2014 Good luck Ritchie- happy for a Hibs win as it keeps you close on the tail of RIFC- they will lose more points than Hibs over the ensuing months, so catching up on them is seriously possible. RE: Falkirk v Hibs - 06/12/14 - ritchiebaby - 08-12-2014 I'm absolutely certain Paul Heffernan is not the answer now. If we can get Malonga and El Alagui playing in the same team, we might, only might have a chance of scoring enough goals to win games like this. Once again we've been left to rue missed chances and once again we've been beaten on an artificial pitch - no excuse in my opinion, as we should be good enough to overcome that. The slightest consolation comes from the fact that both QOS and Raith Rovers were beaten as well, but that consolation is wiped out by the fact that we have again missed a chance to put pressure on the team above us. It almost looks like we're not interested in vying for promotion On Saturday night, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Snooty and Amelia and Maroon1. ![]() RE: Falkirk v Hibs - 06/12/14 - Amelia Chaffinch - 08-12-2014 A pleasure indeed ![]() |
