Hibs v Saint Johnstone, Sat 1 Feb, KO 3.00pm - 0762 - 30-01-2020

This is one of these matches that doesn't really "stir the imagination" but it is a home fixture that requires to be fulfilled and I hope Hibs "show up" and win this game v a stuffy Saints' team that their manager, Jim Goodwin, will be prompting to frustrate Hibs in every area of the pitch. JR has a choice of team that can definitely win this match and lets hope he chooses wisely!! "Keep up the momentum" is the key instruction and hopefully Doidgey will add to his goals total for the season. C'mon Hibs!

GGTTH

They've had a middling season so far, a bit like us, but we do have a far superior goal-scoring record. Hopefully that will continue and we come out with another 3 points.

It was st Mirren btw .....

What can you say ? Some truly abysmal defending the day again especially from gray and McGregor, Marciano looked well ropey and nearly cost us on more than one occasion too. Thought St Mirren fought hard for each other and their fans gave them terrific encouragement.

That said we should have won the game after we got level, we had the best chances. I thought Horgan was doing ok when he got subbed, Docherty had a very good game though and McGinn looked a solid option.

Feels a bit like a wasted opportunity seeing how the other games went. As I've said before we are way too slow out the blocks and I have some concerns about the way ross sets us up tactically - but he's got more things right than wrong so far.

Another strange game from a Hibs point of view. As you say, Hibs slow "out the blocks" and punished by a slick-moving Saints' team. We managed to regroup and deservedly level plus should've won it TBH!! It will be interesting to see some of our new players settling in to key positions. Lastly, I must mention Scott Allan who still remains an enigma and leads me to ask, "Should Jack Ross just 'bite the bullet' and give him a rest"??

Allan took his goal well and showed flashes of his genuine talent, but he could probably use a break. You are right.

WTF was Marciano doing yesterday ? He nearly lost us that game.

Based on that display by Rocky yesterday, his "coat is on a shoogly peg"!!!! Lets hope that crap performance was a "one-off" nightmare. A visit to Ibronx next and his mindset and attitude must be right for that fixture!! Otherwise we are in for another "doing" even though Rangers are not playing well at the mo!

Think our front players will cause sevco bother, but we are so bad at the back currently and Marciano has been ropey for more than just Saturday.

Aberdeen really should have won there at the weekend and without the hun goalkeeper and some poor finishing they would have.
