Black Friday - Amelia Chaffinch - 28-11-2014 Examiner - Black Friday And from Tesco Batley ... Has anyone been involved in a fight to grab a bargain? Black Friday's been adopted from the US. Good idea or can they bloody well keep it? ![]() RE: Black Friday - Lord Snooty - 28-11-2014 Mad idea. We don't have Thanksgiving, so why do we have Black Friday? It's like going straight to Boxing Day and not bothering with Christmas Day. The police have the power to stop it if there's potential for trouble. As we football fans well know. Just watched the Batley Tesco clip. Hilarious. ![]() RE: Black Friday - Marco4 - 28-11-2014 I got an HDMI cable for £5, which was nice. No fight, though. RE: Black Friday - Amelia Chaffinch - 28-11-2014 How much should it have been? RE: Black Friday - themaclad - 28-11-2014 Trying to follow a pointless American tradition, we'll be shooting people on the streets next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RE: Black Friday - St Charles Owl - 28-11-2014 I used to love Black Friday over here, you could buy a lot of your Xmas presents at discounted prices!! I always thought that was better than what happened in the UK, where you buy all your presents and then the sales start the day after Xmas just when you don't need anything!!! Now though I hate it, most shops open on Thanksgiving Day, which is a real shame, and more and more people are being forced to work either through the night or stupid early hours. For me it really spoils Thanksgiving, which in some ways I prefer to Christmas!! RE: Black Friday - Amelia Chaffinch - 28-11-2014 As long as you're happy, Marco RE: Black Friday - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 28-11-2014 Never have the words "there's a man with a mullet going mad with a mallet in Millets" been more appropriate. RE: Black Friday - MNTerrier - 29-11-2014 if you do black friday right you can get some really good deals, my wife goes black friday shopping but is very particular about where she shops, she avoids any of the big box stores with the silly door buster deals , she goes to the smaller places have have really good sales and picks up quality stuff dirt cheap, usually stocks up on winter clothes for the kids ( a must in minnesota) and the occasional christmas pressie this year her savings were about 60 % off regular retail honestly though i dont know why they dont just wait until friday and run it through saturday and sunday |
