Bad news for Thomas Cook and the Dingles.  Thumb up

I heard it was closer to 1.5 Billion invested in TC. Drop in the ocean for them, appartently they have 18 Billion in the bank. Perhaps they should have paid to repatriate holiday makers rather than expect the Government to pay out. DD Angry Angry

TBF Fosun did offer 450 million for an additional 55% of the company shares, but RBS demanded an extra 250 million to reduce the debts.

Few nervous Dingles now. Oh dear the money has now gone. Time to sell up and get back where they belong.

RE: Wolves / Fosun - Salopbaggie - 21-10-2019

I read the article about Wolves taking out a loan to bridge the gap until the TV money starts rolling in. To be honest there is nothing unusual in that, it is common for the very wealthy to take out loans to buy things, as the return they are getting on their investments, is better than the interest rate on any loan. So it can be cheaper to borrow money, than use their own.

It will cost them 2 million to borrow 50 million, if you have 50 million you don't throw 2 million away - I completely understand the logic of not spending
your own money if it is making more then 4%. It clearly shows Fosun don't have funds for the dingles to use. Happy days  Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
