Laurie 30 years gone but never forgotten. - Salopbaggie - 15-07-2019

Today marks the 30th anniversary of Laurie's fatal car crash in Spain. A 'real' legend and for those of us who were lucky enough to have seen virtually every game he had in the stripes a player that will never be forgotten.

"the lad can run on snow without leaving a footprint" Big Ron.

Same here Drewks. I saw him first playing for Orient against Yeovil as a youngster. You could see then that he was something special.

RIP Laurie!

Laurie was a brilliant player when with us, he came through to us from down the leagues.

This is what we could do with now.

I am continuing to try and be positive and Slaven has said only what all the people at the club know. Whilst some are negative, I can see the worries we have. I can understand the uncertainty of whether Dowling knows what we need.

Anyone heard any rumours of upcoming signings, come on Beefy we need something positive to cheer us up.

LC was a ballerina in stripes. We were blessed to have had him at the shrine. I can't think of a single player in the PL today that comes close the skill he had. Thanks for the memories Laurie.
