Steve Clarke - silverbaggie - 21-05-2019

Congratulations on your appointment as Scotland's team manager. Thumb up Thumb up

He was, IMO, wrongly sacked by our lot despite taking us to our highest finish in the Greed League.

Done well with Killi and can only improve Scotland's chances. Smile

He's an excellent manager, and he's proved it with kilmarnock who have beaten and finished above teams with much bigger budgets in Scotland.

Totally agree with SilverBaggie and HibeeJim, I think Steve Clarke is first rate. He was very unlucky at the Hawthorns, to be on the receiving end of, what I feel was, very short term thinking. Although his record over his last twelve months was not great, he had shown enough I believe to indicate that he was more than capable of turning it around. His achievement at Killie is nothing short of sensational, considering their attendance and budget. Very humble and likeable guy. It's amazing how your stock as a manager rises once you've left and the fans have to endure those that follow...yes, I'm thinking of you Irvine, Pulis and Pardew.

I feel sure he'll make a real go of the Scotland job
