Huge prayers going out to Notts County today
There should be no favors in this game but certainly I dont want to see the World`s oldest football club leave the league
Nolan was ousted too quick, Kewell was got rid perhaps too soon and Ardley a plain defeatist
Many of the players just haven't gelled or been up for it
I recall the successful days under Howard Wilkinson and Neil Warnock
The Penny pinching years under Derek Pavis
Even the false dawn when they signed Kasper Schmichael, Sol Campbell and Lee Hughes
Hope those players playing today will recall Tommy Lawton, Trevor Christie, Steve Cherry, Mark Draper and other legends of the club`s past years in their efforts

Wasn't to be and they now drop out of the league.
Just to be pedantic, Notts County are the 5th oldest football team in the world, with the oldest being Sheffield FC. Notts County are the oldest professional football club in the world, a status they will retain even though they are dropping out of the top 4 divisions. The oldest team in the top 4 divisions is now officially Stoke City who were formed in 1863!!
