The Owls v Blackburn SBC Match Thread - Owlkev71 - 14-03-2019 THE MATCH SATURDAY 16TH MARCH 3:00PM KICK OFF ![]() ![]() [b]LAST MATCH Well, in the type of fixture where we usually make a complete balls up of, the lads eventually put in a half decent performance after finally deciding to play the ball on the deck instead of booting aimless long balls on a windy night. We had a couple of half chances before we decided to pass the ball and a quick/slick move ended with Fletcher clipping one past the keeper, just before halftime. We kept up actually playing passing football in the 2nd half and soon made it 2-0 when Aarons finished well. We had a few more chances after that and saw the game out fairly comfortably. THE MATCH Our final match before the much anticipated International break ![]() ![]() CURRENT FORM OWLS - ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() BLACK - ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() THE BASTARD IN THE BLACK Referee: JAMES LININGTON Assistants: Steven Meredith and James Wilson Fourth Official: Tony Harrington THE TEAM Same starting eleven, don't think he will risk starting Winnall, particularly with the 2 week break after this game. Lets see if that does the trick. Better news than a week ago when we thought he might need an operation. Winnall – That’s the dilemma I’ve got. He’s come on and played a part. He’s in the reckoning. He’s got goals. Therein lies what I’ve talked about before. He’s a very good striker at this level. But he’s had a horrible injury. But touch wood he’s over that and can have a run in the team. Onomah – Won’t be available for Saturday. Might be back for Stoke in a couple of weeks. Be good to see him back. He’s played very well for me. IT’s not gone as well as we’d have liked since he’s been here. But he’s back running. Van Aken- Definitely out for the rest of the season. It’s what it is. Injured. It’s plagued the club unfortunately. We’ve arranged a closed doors friendly next Tuesday. In terms of game-time, Hooper hasn’t played a lot but he’s putting the hard work in training so fingers crossed RE: The Owls v Blackburn SBC Match Thread - Imre varadi - 15-03-2019 good news about Van larry then ![]() RE: The Owls v Blackburn SBC Match Thread - St Charles Owl - 15-03-2019 2-1 Fletcher 24,819 HAAHH |
