In Santa, Fairies, the Loch Ness Monster, Aliens and Donald Fartipants Trump I wont go as far as to say the Holy one though.
Weve only gone and bloody won.

My God, doesn`t it make a difference when you score early; it creates confidence and makes the opposition come at you.

If I`d started this thread I was going to call it ‘The Spanish Inquisition’, because sure as hell nobody expected that. Mind you, I did have a sneaky feeling; that was why I made the effort to go and I was actually thinking this morning of changing my prediction to a 2-1 win. Yes I know, it`s easy to say that after the event, but I know the way we roll; look and play absolute crap against the mediocre teams and then play well against and beat the top-of-the-table teams. We`ve done it so many times over the years.

We looked a completely different team today and young Levi particularly was a revelation; their defence really couldn`t handle him at times and, until he tired towards the end, he was definitely the leader of the line to me; far more so than Tom Denton. Perhaps he could be the creator (please note the small ‘c’; no implications of divinity) that we`ve been looking for. His potential is colossal, although the obvious question inevitably arises; how long will we keep him if he puts in many more performances like that?

It wasn`t just him, though. Suddenly we were creating openings, getting shots on goal (no idea how many, but it was a lot) and looked a completely different team. When Salford started to put pressure on in the second half (which was inevitable; they`re a bloody good team at this level) we hit them on the counter and showed plenty of resilience at the back. Burton and JBW both had blinders defensively.

I was amazed at the crowd as well; over 5,000 with only a couple of hundred or so from Salford. I wasn`t expecting that either, particularly in the run-up to Xmas. All of a sudden, the future is looking a lot more rosy.

By the way, guys, you may have to consider converting to Buddhism; it turns out the prayer wheels actually work!

I had a soft spot for Buddhists till they started ethnic cleansing in Myanmar / Burma.

Oh God, if only we'd kept Ricky German - now on 19 for the season - Amantchi, German, Ugwu perm any two from three up front ......... If you can score goals it's true your defence improves too. If you can't see where a goal is coming from that's when you start playing the desperation football.

Well done to Kiwomya for actually putting the ball in the net. What we need is Amantchi and Shaw to add a few now.

(I've mentioned Spennymoor's centre forward, Glen Taylor on here a few times. He got a hat trick at Alfreton yesterday in the seven-goal rout.
