Ticket prices for Hibs cup tie v Elgin City - a wee bit greedy??? - 0762 - 07-12-2018 http://www.hibernianfc.co.uk/news/9522 Looking particularly at the adult tickets priced at £22, is somebody at HFC having a laugh because I'd rather have a reduced price with "bums on seats" than a fairly empty stadium with no atmosphere. In comparison, Spartans tickets v the same opponents would be a fraction of that ridiculous price!! RE: Ticket prices for Hibs cup tie v Elgin City - a wee bit greedy??? - 1Wattie - 07-12-2018 Quite agree 0762 what we need is a crowd to cheer the team on but the club always forget our fans. I`ve been on my soapbox for years now about the fans treatment especially when we were relegated and Rod decided to keep charging Premiership prices for all of the 3 seasons we were down. As this is an "extra" game not covered by our season ticket the club could quite easily price the tickets at around £13/£15 and probably got 15,000 turning up and that would create some £200,000 income. Instead they will be very lucky to get much more than 9,000/10,000 turning up if they are lucky. I said in previous posts that in my opinion Rod still dictates most of the club policy and this latest stunt has his name written all over it. |
