Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 01-11-2018

The charitable view of last Saturday's draw with Blackburn is that it stopped the rot after back to back defeats. The less felicitous interpretation is that Albion dropped two points against ten men with a midfielder in goal, and remain winless since the international break with the league table suddenly looking very slippery.

The good news is that this Saturday's opponents, Hull, are languishing one from bottom in the table. The bad news is that we're playing them away. The further bad news is that they won last weekend, and know that another three points here could well lift them out of the relegation zone. In the circumstances, it's not going to be a pushover, and we can be justified in fearing the worst. But realistically, this is the kind of match a promotion-chasing team has to be winning, and if we fail to do so, then questions must be asked.

Please, please change something Darren - anything. We have gone stale. Even a sensible substitution or 2 would help or a clean.sheet?

Well BD has got to change something! Bartley is suspended so misses the game. Hegazi is fit again!, Gayle to have a late fitness test. Could this be the 4-4-2 day? We shall see!

RE: Hull vs WBA - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 02-11-2018

Based on our injuries and suspensions I’d like to see:

Johnstone
Tosin - Dawson - Hegazi - Gibbs
Brunt
Phillips - Livermore - Morrison - Barnes
Rodriguez

Subs - Myhill, Mears, Townsend, Barry (Field if Barry unfit), Sako, Hoolahan, Gayle (Robson-Kanu if Gayle unfit)

The above team can easily change between three systems; 4141, 4231 and 3511. What I expect is similar to last week but with Hegazi in for Bartley and Gibbs in for Townsend.

No Gayle or Gibbs again
And he is still going with 3 at the back
Does he ever learn?
I think if he does not get the result today he should die on his sword what is the gaffer thinking??
Not to mention Brunt and Livermore in the center AGAIN !!

Beefy the man has no plan B. Added to that he is very Stubborn.

Hopefully we’ll get a result.

I'm really sick of watching this 3 at the back nonsense.

Darren Moore is massively over complicating things. We've got a decent squad and just need to play a formation the players are capable of playing. Dawson and Hegazi are fine as 2 at the back, Mears has played his whole career at right back, so why not get him on and just get back to a basic back 4.

None of our defenders are comfortable getting pulled into wide areas, and this happens week in and week out in this formation. Phillips is never a wing back and is only any good going the other way. It makes absolutely no sense to persist with a formation the players aren't comfortable with. I always thought the 3 was designed to fit 2 forwards and Barnes in, but today we're playing it with 1 up top, the mind boggles.

Not going anywhere under Moore, as sad as it is to criticise someone who was a legend as a player. Unfortunately Luke Dowling is Darren Moore's man, so I really don't see anything except a few decades of mediocrity coming our way.

He has changed absolutely nothing
No plan B
Never wanted Moore from the start but the outcry from the papers because he was black if he didn't get the job would have been massive.
Big Dave is a football hero of WBA sentiment or colour should not stand in the way of anything if your good enough you get the job.
DM is simply not good enough,
When we played Man utd, Spurs, Liverpool, won 2 drew 1 with almost the same players we played 4 at the back against better opposition, we could be more expensive in this division so why not play 4 at the back your stubbornness is embarrassing
I hope we turn this around but if this was Alan Pardew what would you all want????

Blues currently above us in the table just confirms how good a manager Monk is in comparison to Moore Rolleyes
