Deserves a third chance after doing reasonably well at Wigan but terribly with us.
Would be a terrible indictment of our club if he went on to do do a fantastic job and would confirm my previous statement that we are a Poison Chalice or even cursed !

Chairman Jacqui Low said the club were "blown away by Gary's interview preparation".
"In the space of a week, he had done an analysis of each player, identified a training schedule to deal with the fitness levels and pulled together a vision of how to get Thistle playing well enough to secure promotion," she added.
"Put simply, he plans to build a strong defence that allows us to then push forward and play attacking football."
I love "put simply". I'm wondering who is going to take on the Sam Hird role of asking what the fhell they're supposed to be doing.

Law of Sod states categorically that he WILL be successful at Partick and probably have them in the Europa League in a few years. Won`t we all choke on our Rice Crispies if he does!

Partick IS more Caldwell's scene. At Wigan he had more resources than most of the rest of the division put together. In truth only Dundee Utd should be any kind of rival for Partick Thistle in the Scottish Championship. Saturday they play Alloa Athletic ...... to be honest I think I could get Partick into a challenging position.
I just looked at Partick's squad. No wonder they sacked their manager. They ought to be top. This is a brilliant opportunity for Caldwell to resurrect a career that his performance with us should actually have ended.

Partick had 56% possession and 21 efforts at goal against struggling Alloa and couldn't score. Against Ayr who are up top they had 52% possession and 11 efforts without scoring. Caldwell changed his side a bit between the games too.
Their squad looks decent, but it's not so much a managerial bounce as a splatt!

They had even more of the possession this time and scored first.
He's saying players have to go but for the last two seasons Jai Quitonga has been be far Morton's most promising young player. He was in Caldwell's Partick team thinking he'd bettered himself. Lost 5-1. On paper Partick have a side which should be bottom four of the Premier, not the Championship. It's what Caldwell is doing with them.
Partick really do carry a different level of a squad to most of the other Championship teams. They've three keepers listed as first teamers ....... the third keeper for most of their opponents would 16.
I could move Partick up that league! So could you!
