Good read, the odd factual error and omission ........ like everyone knew Cook had gone ages before the play-offs, and I for one still wonder whether he would have continued even if he'd thought money was available. Portsmouth was a more viable job than the building, rebuilding and replacement he'd have had to do at Chesterfield to gain promotion - and then he isn't daft, he must have known how potentially difficult managing Chesterfield in the Championship would have been .... and how bad doing a Yeovil would have been for his CV.
