Europa League quali 3rd round: Hibs v Molde - 0762 - 06-08-2018
This 1st leg tie will be tough but we have a chance. However, we still need to tighten up that defence esp v a decent side like Molde. Kamberi fit to play as well. Should be good!

Big ask for Hibs to qualify here ..... But what an experience for the team.
Our defending was iffy last 20 or so v Motherwell but I think a lot of that was down to tiredness.
Cmon the hibees.

Got to be positive on this one, play the way we can and we`ll give them a fright but have to agree our defence can be a bit sloppy at times. I can`t see us winning or losing by more than a goal over the two legs.

Yep! I'd like to see Lenny playing a tightly controlled game plan and try to gain some kinda lead but don't lose silly goals! Agreed this is a "big ask"! Also note Zenit SP is Hibs or Molde's likely opponent in the 4th round play off matches. IMO nae chance but it would be a great spectacle if we amazingly make it to the 4th round.

FT and a 0-0 score line. Thankfully no goal conceded and Lenny playing it tight as previously suggested but their goalie, Linde, has ensured they have not lost any goals after some stunning saves from shots by Stevie Mallan and a great header by David Gray that should've bulged their goal net. Lenny not too perturbed and happy that the second leg in Norway will see Hibs playing out a "decider". We are definitely "in with a shout" and I'm reasonably optimistic after observing that they were fairly punchless up front and it transpires that their star striker is off to Salzburg - a big loss for them?
Lastly I noticed that Zenit SP were trounced 4-0 tonight by Dinamo Minsk in Belarus - looks like a very formidable opponent awaits Hibs or Molde in that ultimate EL play off round!

Not too bad a result, main thing is not losing an away goal. To be going into the second leg with a chance is pretty much what we wanted.
Mallan looks a cracking wee player.
