Tommy Lee's testimonial - Dancingwilldoit - 19-07-2018

Had a look on the website and the take up of tickets to date for this game are just abysmal.
The one player who really deserves a testimonial is Lee. I remember watching his first performance in a Town shirt as a trialist away at Gainsborough what seems like a long long time ago. He was class that day and his loyalty to us speaks volumes in these days of money grabbing leeches. The least he deserves is a good send off.
I just hope the NAPM brigade don't stoop so low as to keep their hands out of their pockets for this one.

A loyal and decent bloke who was a very good lower League keeper.

Unfortunately people are very disillusioned with the club, its ownership and the team. Like me many of them also seem to have made the correlation between Tommy's injuries and retirement and our on-field unraveling. In a way I don't think it is a deliberate stay-away, it's just an unfortunate symptom of how people are feeling.

He does deserve better, but so also do the fans.

I would agree with you Dev but the disillusionment isn't reflected on above expected season ticket sales .It would be a shame if we didn't get at least 4k for this especially with Cook ,Morsy ,Roberts returning .There is a general malaise only slightly lifted by MA and his idiosyncrazies.I guess people are waiting to see how it pans out on the pitch .
Not sure if its me but it does it seem like like an unusually low key pre-season ,lots of away games at not-so local teams so far and lots of youngsters and triallists playing ,including tomorrow .Hopefully it will start to pick up speed next week .
