RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - jjamez - 21-05-2018 Think they just miss us RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - themaclad - 21-05-2018 No it's called making money RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - Lord Snooty - 21-05-2018 Very strange set up. RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - Marco4 - 21-05-2018 I'm off to Lords to see them against Middlesex (third time I'll have seen the Seaxes this year) unless I don't. There's Eton v Harrow (Harrow to you too) a couple of weeks later. Might go to that instead. RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 21-05-2018 It is a bit odd we've decided against any white-ball games vs Pakistan in favour of more Aussie overkill. That said, having taken them to the cleaners in the January series and with the Smith/Warner affair to taunt them about now, maybe it's just the right time for them to pay a visit ![]() If the weather holds, the Scotland match should prove interesting too. They gave a really good account of themselves in the World Cup qualifiers and were desperately unlucky not to qualify. RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 24-05-2018 England win the toss at Lord's and elect to bat. Bit of a surprise, tinge of green on the pitch and plenty of cloud cover, but Root's gambling that it'll improve. ENGLAND
Alastair Cook Mark Stoneman Joe Root © Dawid Malan Jonny Bairstow (wk) Ben Stokes Jos Buttler Dominic Bess Stuart Broad Mark Wood Jimmy Anderson PAKISTAN Azhar Ali Imam ul Haq Haris Sohail Asad Shafiq Babar Azam Sarfraz Ahmed (c & wk) Shadab Khan Faheem Ashraf Mohammad Amir Hasan Ali Mohammad Abbas RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - Marco4 - 24-05-2018 Cook plays his 153rd consecutive test, breaking Allan Border's record, I read. Nice that his team mates have decided to celebrate by spending a short while with him each, then passing the baton on to the next. RE: England at home, May-June 2018 - Ska'dForLife-WBA - 24-05-2018 Half-century for Cook, him and Bairstow putting together a watchful partnership after a tough morning session at the crease. The decision to bat isn't looking stellar so far, but England are coping right now, and conditions might yet improve. 84-3. |
