Space travel - Amelia Chaffinch - 01-11-2014 Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic aircraft / spacecraft has crashed on a test flight. http://gu.com/p/43vmq Do you think they'll ever succeed with this? Would you want to? RE: Space travel - themaclad - 01-11-2014 No, pointless waste of money and in this case a life as well just to boost his ego RE: Space travel - Stairs - 01-11-2014 You have to push the boundaries. This technology will eventually have us flying to Australia in 5-6 hours etc. looks awful when this happens but people will keep pushing and in the end it will happen. RE: Space travel - Lord Snooty - 02-11-2014 Without space travel, we wouldn't have a load of the things we take for granted these days. Like the internet for instance. RE: Space travel - Dingle-Dingle - 06-11-2014 If you can imagine something it can eventually be done. Scientists have already been able to transport a beam of light. Just a few more steps until "Beam me up Scotty" DD ![]() ![]() RE: Space travel - St Charles Owl - 07-11-2014 I would definitely go into space if I could afford it!! It is one of my dreams to have the opportunity to view the earth from space. Problem with Branson's venture is that even when this is commercially available it will not actually be going into space, it will be right on the edge but I would love to experience the full thing!! RE: Space travel - Lord Snooty - 07-11-2014 Aye but it's another step closer. |
