And so to the much anticipated series decider in front of a packed house at Headingley.........well......hmmm!
The packed house bit is right. Most of the tickets have been sold as Yorkshire CCC seek desperately to hold on to their test match status. Thankfully advance sales have been good, otherwise this could really have been a massive damp squib.
The home crowd therefore will be looking to cheer on two of their own as Joe Root and Gary Ballance play on their home ground. Both will definitely play as Ian Bell is out with a broken toe.
Even though this is a dead rubber, the Indians are expected to field their strongest, unchanged XI.

The ODI's have lost their appeal recently but will still be hoping for the resurrection of a little form.

Much better today. Just watched the highlights. Joe Root was outstanding. I don't think we have such a bad team/squad. The results don't back that statement up though.

Our problem is that we treat one day games like dinosaurs and think that 250 is still a good score <doh> whilst the Rest of the World are posting 300 - 350 first innings scores <doh> We need to get out of the 1970's and embrace the way ODI's are played in the 21st Century <doh>
