i`m not too smart when it comes to contracts
but bear with me on this
as i understand players have release clauses inserted in them
so if,for argument sake one of our players has a release clause for xxx amount
and the xxx amount isnt met do the club have the option of making the player stay?
very confusing
maybe someone can explain it to me

Rondon has, reportedly, got a £16.5m release clause. So if a club bid £16.4m or less we have the choice to accept or not - if a club bids £16.5m or more then the bid is automatically accepted and it's then down to the player whether he wants to accept the contract or not.
